Q.01
The references for the voltage and current at the terminal of a circuit element are as shown in Fig.

The numerical values for v and i are 40 V and-1 0 A.

a) Calculate the power at the terminals and state whether the power is being absorbed or delivered by the
element in the box.
b) Given that the current is due to electron flow, state whether the electrons are entering or leaving
terminal 2.
c) Do the electrons gain or lose energy as they pass through the element in the box?

Q.02
The numerical values for the currents and voltages in the circuit in Fig. are given in Table. Find the total
power developed in the circuit.
Q.03
The voltage and current are measured at the terminals of the device illustrated in Fig. a, and the values of
v, and it are tabulated in Fig. b. Construct a circuit model of the device inside the box. Also plot the graph
between v and I for the given values.

Q.04
Find Req for the following circuits.

Q.05

Find the current and power supplied by the 40 V source in the circuit shown in Fig
Q.06

Find Rab in the following circuit. Suppose if a current of 10mA is flowing through Rab, find the
voltage applied V.

Q.07

Find the total Resistance (Req) in the given circuit. Make a new circuit in which a battery of 20 V
is attached to this Req calculated. Find the total Current passing through it. Also find the power
dissipated.
