AppWorks is a suite of components that enable customers to quickly build process applications for
their business needs using pre-built and reusable components.
OpenText AppWorks Platform is an enterprise application development and hosting platform that
provides Business Process Management, SOA Integration, and Composite Applications Development
capabilities in the cloud or on premise. It brings business and IT worlds together by enabling
organizations to design, execute, monitor, change, and continuously optimize their critical business
operations in a seamless, reliable, scalable, and high performance design and runtime environment.
AppWorks Platform offers low-code and compositional application development capabilities. Pre-
packaged configurable components help add behavior to concepts (entities) that reside in the
business domain. This compositional approach makes it possible for business experts to quickly build
applications that solve their business problems.
OpenText AppWorks Gateway together with the AppWorks Mobile and Desktop Clients allow HTML5
web apps to be managed and deployed through the administration console. This capability and
reverse proxying allow APIs to be exposed externally to be consumed by the AppWorks apps running
in the clients.
Access release notes for AppWorks Gateway on the AppWorks Developer community.
OpenText Directory Services (OTDS) provides a single sign-on experience across OpenText products
with its identity and user management capabilities. Manage users in OTDS and synchronize
information about the identity of users and groups to products that support OTDS such as OpenText
AppWorks Platform.
OpenText Process Intelligence provides analysis of process data to deliver insight and operational
status information for AppWorks. Process Intelligence receives information from a business process,
transforms it into useful business intelligence, and reflects it in business intelligence reports.
• Integrate key performance metrics from multiple BPM systems and report simply, from one
location, for improved clarity and efficiency.
• Support big data initiatives by performing analysis on multiple dimensions and with large data
sets.
• Use advanced data graphing and reporting to provide faster and deeper insight and contribute to
improved decision making.
OpenText Brava
OpenText Brava provides secure viewing and collaboration of content from in-house employees to
remote mobile users. Brava provides users inside and outside of the organization with consistent
reliable access to the content, ensuring the content never leaves the repository.
OpenText Brava for AppWorks, which is part of the AppWorks bundle, enables applications and users
to view and compare documents of various formats, which includes Microsoft Office documents,
PDFs, and images (BMP, JPEG, PNG, and TIFF).
The Brava HTML client enables access using a Web browser on PCs, Macs, and Apple iPad, iPhone,
and Android devices. Access occurs without the document leaving the repository. This maintains
compliance objectives for secure and controlled documents.
Magellan BI & Reporting (previously known as iHub) is a scalable analytics server platform. You can
design, deploy, and display secure interactive analytic applications, reports, and dashboards fed by
multiple data sources.
OpenText Intelligent Viewing is a cloud-first product, built for file viewing and transformation at scale.
It is designed from the ground up as a set of APIs that provide a functionally rich and responsive
experience that goes beyond the typical basic file viewing scenario. Intelligent Viewing supports
features like annotations, redactions, text and graphical comparisons of documents and drawings,
measurement of drawings, publishing to PDF or TIFF, and the ability to combine documents in a
single view and then publish them as a merged set.
OpenText Intelligent Viewing that is bundled with AppWorks allows users to view files.
