Good Day Everyone, now let’s discuss the lesson 2 which is the introduction in globalization.

AFTER LEARNING OBJECTIVES,,,,

AFTER WHAT IS GLOBALIZATION,,,,

One of the key aspects of globalization is the growing interconnectedness of economies through trade
and investment. Companies now have the ability to operate on a global scale, sourcing inputs and selling
products in multiple countries. This has led to increased competition, efficiency, and specialization,
benefiting consumers with a wider variety of products at lower prices.

Globalization has also had a profound impact on culture, as ideas and values spread more easily across
borders. This has resulted in the homogenization of culture in some ways, with the rise of global brands,
technologies, and media influencing societies around the world.

However, globalization has also led to the preservation and celebration of diverse cultural traditions, as
people have greater access to different cuisines, music, films, and art from around the world.

BEFORE ADV AND DISAD OF GLOBALIZATION,,,

Globalization has revolutionized the way we communicate with each other, breaking down barriers and
connecting people from all corners of the world. This phenomenon has both advantages and
disadvantages, which have shaped the way we interact with one another in the modern world.

AFTER THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES INTRO,,

First, lets discuss the advantages of globalization in communication,

FIRST ADVANTAGE,,,

One of the biggest advantages of globalization in communication is to allowed a faster and more
accessible communication across the globe.

AFTER READING THE FIRST ADVANTAGE,,,,

Advances in technology, particularly in the realm of the internet and mobile communication devices,
have made it easier for people to stay connected with others around the world. The invention of social
media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, has allowed people to communicate with
friends, family, and acquaintances, regardless of where they are located. This has enabled a level of
connectivity that was once unimaginable, making it possible for people to maintain relationships across
vast distances.
SECOND ADVANTAGE,,,, AFTER READING WHAT’S ON THE SLIDE

Globalization has fostered an exchange of diverse perspectives is through the internet and social media
platforms. These tools have made it possible for individuals to communicate with others from different
parts of the world in real-time, breaking down the barriers of distance and enabling a constant flow of
information and ideas. People can now engage in discussions, share experiences, and learn from one
another regardless of their location, creating a more interconnected global community.

THIRD ADVANTAGE,,,, AFTER READING WHAT’S ON THE SLIDE

One of the key aspects of globalization that has transformed communication is the breaking down of
traditional barriers of time and space. In the past, communication was limited to face-to-face
interactions or written correspondence that could take days or even weeks to reach its recipient.
However, with the emergence of communication technologies such as smartphones, email, and social
media, we can now communicate instantaneously with people from all corners of the globe, regardless
of distance.

LAST ADVANTAGE,,,, AFTER READING WHAT’S ON THE SLIDE

One of the most significant impacts of globalization on international collaborations is in the field of
education. Universities and research institutions from different countries are now able to easily
exchange students, faculty, and research ideas. This has led to the creation of joint research projects,
exchange programs, and partnerships that have resulted in groundbreaking discoveries and innovations.
For example, universities from different countries may collaborate on a research project in
environmental science, pooling their expertise and resources to address a global issue such as climate
change. Globalization has also facilitated collaborations in the field of research. Scientists and
researchers from around the world can now easily share data, collaborate on projects, and publish
results in international journals. For example, researchers working on a vaccine for a global pandemic
may collaborate with scientists from different countries to speed up the development process and
ensure that the vaccine is effective for everyone. In the field of healthcare, globalization has enabled
countries to work together to address common health challenges. International collaborations in
healthcare have led to the sharing of best practices, resources, and expertise, which has improved
healthcare outcomes for people around the world. For example, organizations such as the World Health
Organization (WHO) work with countries to address global health issues such as infectious diseases,
maternal health, and access to healthcare services.
AFTER LAST ADVANTAGE,,,,

However, globalization in communication also has its drawbacks. First disadvantage is Globalization,
technologically-based, shrinks time and space.

Now lets proceed to the disadvantages of globalization in communication

AFTER FIRST DISADVANTAGE,,,,

However, while the shrinking of time and space has brought about numerous benefits, it has also raised
concerns about cultural homogenization and the loss of local identities. As people become more
interconnected through technology, there is a risk that local traditions and customs may be eroded in
favor of a globalized, homogenized culture. It is important for individuals and communities to actively
preserve and celebrate their cultural heritage in the face of globalization, ensuring that diversity and
uniqueness are not lost in the process.

AFTER SECOND DISADVANTAGE,,,,

Globalization has had a transformative impact on how humans perceive their identity in the modern
world. With the interconnectedness of global economies, cultures, and societies, individuals are no
longer defined solely by their national or regional identities. Instead, they are increasingly identifying
with global communities and shared values that transcend geographical boundaries. As people are
exposed to different cultures and ways of life through travel, media, and the internet, they are
increasingly recognizing the diversity and complexity of human identity. This has led to a greater
acceptance of multiculturalism and diversity, with many individuals embracing their unique heritage and
identity while also embracing the values and practices of other cultures.

AFTER THIRD DISADVANTAGE,,,,

Also the lack of regulation and fact-checking on many online platforms allows misinformation to thrive.
Anyone with an internet connection and a social media account can disseminate false information
without facing any consequences. This lack of accountability has made it easier for malicious actors to
manipulate public opinion and spread propaganda.

AFTER LAST DISADVANTAGE,,,,

Globalization can diminish long-standing economic values is through the homogenization of products
and markets. As companies operate on a global scale, they often strive to standardize their products and
services to cater to a larger, more diverse customer base. This can lead to the loss of unique, culturally
specific products and the disappearance of local businesses that are unable to compete with larger,
more established players in the global marketplace.
