Calculation for volume of air required to dissipate the heat produced inside each AHF Module (250A)

The following formula is used to determine the air volume required to dissipate the heat produced due to power loss:
V = C * (Pa-Pn)
Δt
V = Air volume in m³ per hour
C= Coefficient related to altitude
Pa= The actual power loss
Pn= Heat loss dissipated naturally, in Watt
Δt= Difference between inside and outside temperature in ˚ C

C = Coefficient related to altitude

C C= 3.5

The actual power loss for 250A x 1 AHF Module (Calculated)

Pa= 3557 The actual power loss

Heat loss dissipated naturally through the panel surface

Pn= K x A x Δt heat loss dissipated naturally, in Watt

K K= 5.5 (or painted steel enclosure)

A surface area, in sq mtr

The area available for heat dissipation (by natural air cooling) for panel is calculated as follows:
Dimension of enclosure

Number of fans required to dissipate the hot air is

188 m³ fan with 0.9 efficiency

Number of 188 m³ fan req is 7.23972 Nos

Provided 188 m³ Fan 8 Number, considering 0.9 efficiency, , air flow will be 1353.6 m³ per hour
