and should convey the same message.

Business Concept & Model: Modern Juice bar with a cafe


Description of the business:
Bamboo Juice & Sandwiches is a Juice bar that will be introducing a unique
menu that replaces added sugar from juices and smoothies with sugarcane juice,
introducing a unique taste and twist top sandwiches. It is also designed to deliver
its services with minimum wait time to serve which most customers are looking
for that no other juice bar is currently able to provide. We intend to revive or
create a new demand that answers an existing need. We will be filling the gaps
in operations that are time consuming and costly.

Market need: There is a big gap in what customers need and what the already
existing market provides. One of the gaps is that customers wait too long to get
what they order with lower quality products. We will be filling this gap as fastness
is one of our niche points alongside high quality and personal experience for our
customers.

Core products & services: Our juice bar will be serving healthy juices and
sandwiches, traditional coffee & infused water(free).

Target Market: Our products and services target those groups of people that are
looking for a place where they can order products and get fast service with high
quality.

Business model: How do we charge our customers for our products or services?

Unique Value Proposition: Our products are different from those already in the
marketplace because we provide a more healthy and high quality product at an
affordable price. We also provide take-away options for our customers.

Executive summary:
Bamboo Juice & Sandwiches bar will be located in a primelocation in the city of
Hawassa. The primary goal of Bamboo Juice & Sandwiches bar is to provide
customers with the utmost unique juices and wraps experience. This is to be
achieved with a high quality and freshly squeezed and made juice along with
different types of wraps that our customers can grab along with their juice.
We plan to provide both sit-in and take away options for customers. We will
invest in the right equipment to ensure that our products are of the highest quality
and consistency which inturn allows our customers to enjoy their choice of
service.

Business Overview:

Our Juice bar will be located in a busy area that has a high foot traffic, such as a
hot city area where there are colleges, offices or the likes. We plan to provide
both sit-in and take-away options for customers.The shop will have a capacity of
20 seats in a calm and cozy environment with a traditional touch to it. We are
sure that the types of products we will be introducing will give us a returning
customer base.

Opportunities: This is a list of opportunities that we see to enable us to break


into the already existing market and help us stand out.

1. Even though there are plenty of establishments that offer similar service,
there is a weakness we can capitalize on. People would like to get what
they ask for within a short waiting time as waiting is not a pleasant
experience. Unfortunately, lack of speed accompanied with high quality

service is what most service providers like coffee shops, juice houses,
restaurants and the like seem to lack in common. On the other hand, we
are targeting to fill this gap not only by providing our service with high
quality but with speed as well. Our main goal is to serve a specific amount
of products that are high in quality and are served to our customers in a
short time after an order is placed. The local community is familiar with
eating out and relaxing.

2. The environment in which we set up our shop will be one of the attracting
points we deliver to our customers. The vibe of the place is to be chill and
calm yet where people can talk to each other without being bothered. We
will be playing Lofi genres to assist in making the mood. The set- up of the
place will be a fusion of modern style with a touch of tradition. This will be
reflected in the interior decor, the sits, the serving materials & the like.

3. Another point we give emphasis on is the handling of our customers.


Customers are to be welcomed as they enter our shop and be served with
high attentiveness until they leave. This doesn’t mean we are to suffocate
them, rather pay attention to what they need and ask for, be responsive,
be fast & give an overall great experience to our customers.

4. Employees are to have a uniform that tells who we are and is to be


respected under all circumstances. Cleanliness is at the core in our shop.
This inturn will give comfort to our customers.

5. We will be serving different kinds of infused water free of charge. This is a


new idea and has not been done by anyone in town and therefore a plus
for our shop.

The Menu:

Our menu will consist of a wide range of juices & smoothies. In addition to that,
we will also offer a variety of sandwiches & wraps. We also intend to serve

traditional coffee (yejebena buna). Our coffee will be sourced from local farmers
in Yirgachefe.?

● Sandwiches:
Avocado sandwich: A classic bread of the house, avocado, pesto, tomato
& mozzarella?
When making one batch of pesto, you must weigh 34g of salt, 12g of grounded
pepper, 100g of basil, 1 banana, 200g of parmesan, and fill the blender can with
olive oil to 64oz.

WE DO IT BY FOLLOWING THE FOLLOWING STEPS:


1. Rinse, remove the ends of the basil.
2. Add 34g of salt and 12g of pepper to the blender.
3. Now add the washed basil to the blender.
4. Chop 200g of parmesan into small pieces and put it into the blender.
5. Peel the banana and add it to the blender.
6. Add the olive oil in the blender until it reaches 64oz. Mark
7. Let it blend for approximately 2 minutes

● Wraps:
● Infused water: to be served free of charge

2. Mint and lime infused water/Cloudy lemonade.

4. Cucumber & mint infused water.

Staffing Needs & Equipments


Staffing:
The tasks listed below per station are to start 1 hour before opening the juice bar
and continue being performed throughout the service time until we close. After
closing, all staff members take care of their own station making it ready for the
coming day. The staffing needs of the juice bar is as follows:

❖ Station 1: This is where the fresh produce is after being unloaded in the
shop. The next step is washing our products/ingredients clean. The clean
products are to be chopped and stored in their proper place making them
ready for the next step. This section needs one person that is responsible
for the above mentioned operation and the cleanliness of the station.

❖ Station 2: This is the station with one person where we make sure that the
juice bars front is ready to serve customers with the next steps:
➔ Make sure that all equipment for blending and preparing sandwiches
are clean.
➔ Make sure all power functioning equipment is plugged in the right
way and ready to take orders without delay.
➔ Prepare serving glasses/takeaway cups and other necessary
utensils in the right place.

❖ Station 3: This is the serving area and cash system area? The stationed
staff here takes care of the service area and makes sure that the seats are
clean and in order. This is also where we make sure that our ‘’infused
waters’’ are filled in the jars and keep on being filled throughout.

The operation of our business is what will determine all the other parts of the
business. Therefore, we have prepared an operation plan that is to be followed

The Juice & Wraps bar will bring an exciting new Juice, wraps & coffee
experience to the local community. Our cost breakdown and financial projections
show the viability of our business plan, and we are confident of our potential
success. Through exceptional service, quality products, and a welcoming
atmosphere, we are confident that we can attract a loyal customer base and
achieve long-term success.
