Subject : Assignment No.1: Planning a Trip Kirirom National Park
Introduction

Kirirom National Park is a natural


tourist destination

located in Kampong Speu province,


Cambodia. It attracts

visitors due to its pristine natural


environment and cool climate,

featuring unique pine forests. The name


"Kirirom" translates

to "Happy Mountain," which perfectly


reflects the beauty of this area.

Key Information about Kirirom


National Park:

1. Location
Kirirom is approximately 112 kilometers from Phnom Penh, situated along
National Road No. 4. It is easily accessible by car or motorbike.
2. Climate
Due to its elevation of about 700 meters above sea level, Kirirom enjoys a
cool climate year-round.
3. Scenery and Natural Features
Kirirom is known for its stunning waterfalls, lush pine forests, and green
mountains. The area is home to diverse wildlife and vegetation.
4. Tourist Activities

Hiking and exploring nature trails

Staying at resorts or guesthouses

Enjoying grilled food and local cuisine on-site

Biking or horseback riding through the forest


5. Historical Significance
Kirirom has historical importance, especially during the French colonial
period, when it served as a retreat for French administrators and officials.

Day (1)
Traveling from Phnom Penh to Kirirom in Kampong Speu province
with friends. We met at 8 am to get on the bus to visit the first
waterfall. The journey along the road was really beautiful because
there were many forests and mountains. After traveling for a long
time, we arrived at the location. We rested and ate together, then went
to the waterfall and took many photos. The waterfall there was really
cold.

Then at 5 pm we left for a place to sleep


at a place called (Cool Shade). When it
was night, we had dinner together and
sang and danced happily. It was a little
late at night and we went to rest for
the next trip.
Day (2)
Early in the morning, we woke up and had
breakfast together. After getting ready and
eating, we continued to another resort. At 10
o'clock, we arrived at the location at (Kirirom
National Park). It was really beautiful, with
many trees and a very refreshing atmosphere.
The atmosphere there was not hot because there
were many trees around.

We had lunch and then walked around and


took fun photos. At (Kirirom National Park),
there were many coffee shops and drinks and
many places to take photos. After walking
around, we continued back to our place of
sleep and had a little lunch together. Then we
rested to gain strength for another walk
around the area tomorrow.
Day (3)
Day (3) is the last day of our trip. Early in the morning, we always have breakfast
and get ready to go for a walk in a new place.
At 8 am, we went to a place called (Sala
Daung), where many orphans study. (Sala
Daung) is also a tourist attraction that attracts
international tourists to see the works of
Cambodian children and the processing of many
household items, including coffee and a
beautiful garden. There is a peaceful atmosphere
with nature.

During the trip to Sala Daung, we


also gave some gifts to many
children who are studying there, ate
a meal together, and took many
photos with the children, as well as
building a stronger bond. After a
little while, at 3 o'clock, we left
there by car back to Phnom Penh.
