Animation

basics
1.
Working with
Click the Text tool to select it.
Text
2. Choose Text > Font from the menu and select a font. I
used Times New roman.
3. Choose Text > Size > 60 from the menu to set the font
size to 60.
4. Click the Fill color box and select red as the color.
5. Click anywhere outside the Stage to close the text
box.
6. Use the Selection tool to adjust the placement of the
text. Remember, you can also use the arrow keys to
change the placement.
7. Click anywhere outside the Stage to deselect the text
box.
Change the letter colors
• Select text
• Go to modify
• Select break apart
• Then it will break the letters
• Now select one by one and
change the colors
Create Classic tween
• Go to the time line
• Select 60th frame and insert key frame
• Go to the 1st key frame and arrange letters as
you want

Note : if you
not select
break apart
you cant
arrange letters
as shown.
• Right click on time line and select create classic
tween

• Classic tween
• If you want to keep the text for while go to the
100th frame and insert key frame

• Press ctrl + Enter for play the movie


Motion tween
• Using oval tool create object
• Convert it in to symbol
• Select 100th frame and select insert frame
• Right click and select motion tween
• Go to the 100th frame and move your object
where you want to keep

• By clicking breaking points in the line you can
create any nice path to move the object
Create shape tween
• Select the first frame. Now go to your working area and
draw any object. To start off with, may be you can draw a
circle, square, etc.. This is going to be your initial object.
• my initial object is a Circle
• Select frame 100 and press F6 to insert a new keyframe.
• Still keeping play head on frame 100, delete the object
(circle) present in your working area. Now draw a
different object, may be a square.
• In the above demonstration, I have drawn a Circle.
• Select any frame between, 2 to 99 and select Shape from
the tween pop-up menu in the Property inspector. Now
your Layer will look something like the one shown below.
Object changes to 1st to 100th frame
• 1st frame

• 75th frame
• 25th frame

• 50th frame • 100th frame


Difference in three different tweens

Motion tween
Shape tween
Classic tween
mask
• Go to the layer 1
• Select text tool
• Write text what you want, I used “I am Mask”
• Convert that text in to symbol
• Add new layer and rename it “Mask”
• Select rectangle tool and draw rectangle
• Convert it also in to symbol
• Go to 60th frame and insert frame in mask
layer and key frame in text layer

• Insert motion tween in mask layer


• Drag the square in to end of text

• If you want to keep the text for while go to the


80th frame and insert key frame in text layer
• Select 60th layer in mask layer
• Right click on mask layer

• Select mask
• Once you select mask layer the time line will
show as below and in your stage it will
disappear both text and rectangle
• Now your mask is ready
• Press ctrl + Enter for show
