Paper Towel Absorption:

Objective: To determine
which brand of paper towel
absorbs the most liquid.
Materials: Different brands of
paper towels, water,
graduated cylinder,
stopwatch.
Procedure:
1. Cut equal-sized squares
of different paper towel
brands.
2. Pour an equal amount of
water onto each square
simultaneously.
3. Measure the amount of
water absorbed by each
brand using the graduated
cylinder.
4. Formulate hypotheses
about which brand will
absorb the most and least
water.
Physics Experiment:

Experiment: Determining the Effect of

Temperature on the Rate of Evaporation
Conclusion: In this experiment, we
observed that as the temperature of the
water increased, the rate of evaporation
also increased. This confirms our
hypothesis that temperature has a
significant impact on the rate of
evaporation. The data collected showed
a clear linear relationship between
temperature and the amount of water
evaporated. This information can be
useful in various real-world applications,
such as improving the efficiency of
drying processes.

Chemistry Experiment:

Experiment: Investigating the Effect of

Different Antacids on Acidity
Conclusion: Our experiment aimed to
determine which antacid tablet was
most effective at neutralizing acidity.
Based on the results, it is evident that
Antacid A had the highest neutralization
capacity, followed by Antacid B and then
Antacid C. This suggests that Antacid A is
the most suitable choice for individuals
experiencing acid-related discomfort.
These findings emphasize the
importance of considering the
composition of antacids when choosing
an effective remedy for acid-related
issues.

Biology Experiment:

Experiment: Studying the Impact of Light

on Plant Growth
Conclusion: Through our investigation,
we have concluded that light plays a vital
role in plant growth. The plants exposed
to adequate light exhibited healthy
growth with lush green leaves and well-
developed stems, while those kept in
low light conditions displayed stunted
growth, pale leaves, and elongated
stems. This experiment underscores the
significance of light as an essential factor
for photosynthesis and plant
development, highlighting the
importance of proper lighting for
successful indoor gardening or crop
cultivation.

Earth Science Experiment:

Experiment: Investigating the Erosion of

Different Soil Types
Conclusion: Our experiment sought to
understand how various soil types are
affected by erosion. The results clearly
demonstrate that sandy soil erodes more
easily than clayey soil. This is due to the
differences in particle size and cohesion
between the two soil types. Sandy soil
particles are larger and less cohesive,
making them susceptible to erosion by
water, while clayey soil particles are
smaller and more cohesive, which helps
resist erosion. This knowledge is valuable
for land management and soil
conservation practices.
Experiment 1: Plant Growth and Light

Objective: To investigate how the amount of light

affects plant growth.

Materials:

Two identical potted plants

Light source (e.g., lamp)
Ruler or measuring tape
Notebook and pen
Procedure:

Setup:

Place two identical potted plants in the same room.

Position one plant near the light source (e.g., 12
inches away), and the other plant away from the
light source (e.g., 3 feet away).
Ensure all other conditions are the same, such as
temperature, water, and soil.
Identify Variables:

Independent Variable: The amount of light (distance

from the light source).
Dependent Variable: Plant growth (measured by
height or number of leaves).
Controlled Variables: Type of plant, type of soil,
amount of water, room temperature, pot size.
Data Collection:

Measure the height of each plant and count the

number of leaves initially.
Record the data in your notebook.
Experimental Procedure:
Water both plants equally and maintain the same
conditions for a set period (e.g., 2 weeks).
Data Collection (After 2 Weeks):

Measure the height of each plant and count the

number of leaves again.
Record the new data in your notebook.
Analysis:

Compare the growth of the two plants in terms of

height and leaf count.
Draw conclusions about how the amount of light
affected plant growth.
Experiment 2: Dissolving Sugar in Water

Objective: To explore how temperature influences

the rate of sugar dissolving in water.

Materials:

Sugar
Water
Three identical cups
Thermometer
Stirring rod
Timer
Procedure:
Setup:

Place three identical cups on a table.

Fill each cup with the same amount of water (e.g.,
200 ml).
Identify Variables:

Independent Variable: Temperature of water (cold,

room temperature, and hot).
Dependent Variable: Time it takes for sugar to
completely dissolve.
Controlled Variables: Amount of sugar, stirring
method, type of cup.
Experimental Procedure:

In one cup, use cold water from the tap.

In another cup, use room temperature water.
In the third cup, heat water to a specific
temperature (e.g., 40°C).
Adding Sugar:

Add the same amount of sugar (e.g., 5 tablespoons)

to each cup.
Stir each cup until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Data Collection:

Start a timer when you begin stirring in the sugar.

Stop the timer when the sugar is completely
dissolved in each cup.
Record the time taken for each cup.
Analysis:

Compare the time it took for sugar to dissolve in

each temperature of water.
Draw conclusions about how temperature affects
the rate of sugar dissolution.
Experiment 1: Paper Towel Absorption

Objective: To determine which brand of paper

towel absorbs the most liquid.
Hypothesis: If different brands of paper towels are
tested, then Brand X will absorb the most liquid.

Experiment 2: Ball Bounce Height and Surface

Objective: To investigate how the type of surface

affects the bounce height of a ball.

Hypothesis: If a ball is dropped from the same

height onto different surfaces, then it will bounce
highest on a hard surface like concrete because it
provides a better bounce.
