5. Section C comprises of 6 SA questions of 3 marks each.
6. Section D comprises of 4 LA questions of 5 marks each.

21. On a morning walk, three persons step off together and their steps

22. Two tangents PQ and PR are drawn from an external point to a circle

26. If sum of first 6 terms of an AP is 36 and that of the first 16 terms is


256, then find the sum of first 10 terms.

After 20 yr, his age will be equal to the sum of the ages of his children.

35. A metallic spherical shell of internal and external diameters 4 cm and
8 cm, respectively is melted and recast into the form a cone of base
diameter 8 cm. Calculate the height of the cone.

Marbles of diameter 1.4 cm are dropped into a cylindrical beaker of
diameter 7 cm containing some water. Find the number of marbles that
should be dropped into the beaker, so that the water level rises by 5.6
cm.

SECTION – E
36. In a school there are three sections A, B and C. 30 students are there in
section A, in section B there are 41 students and 29 students in section
C. A periodic test was conducted to assess the performance of students
thereafter analyse and plan the teaching learning process accordingly.
The marks obtained out of 40 are given below:

i) Find the length of side AB.
ii) Find the coordinates of midpoint of diagonal BD.
iii) Find the ratio in which x-axis divides the side CD.

38. Aahana being a plant lover decides to convert her balcony into beautiful
garden full of plants. She brought few plants with pots for her balcony.
She placed the pots in such a way that number of pots in the first row
is 2, second row is 5, third row is 8 and so on.
Based on the above information answer the following questions:
(i) Find the number of pots in the 10th row.
(ii) Find the difference in the number of pots placed in 5 th and 2nd row.
(iii) If Aahana wants to place 100 pots in total, then find the total number of
rows formed in the arrangement.
