Course Setup for Petrel Well Correlation Training using Studio Database i
Introduction
This guide describes how to perform several tasks, all of which should be completed on one
training PC acting as a server:
• Install Studio Manager.
• Install Studio Database.
• Create a training repository.
• Populate the repository.
• Create database users.
• Create the data environment and set up the indexes for FIND.
For Petrel 2013 Well Correlation courses using a Studio database, you must have one training
PC configured with SQL Server and Studio Database for access by all other PCs. The
database transactions in Petrel 2013 Well Correlation training are minimal, so the
hardware specifications of any training PC will be sufficient.

• 10GB of local disk space for Studio Database
• Petrel 2013.1 (for all training PCs in the classroom)
• All the training PCs in the classroom, including the PC running Studio Database, must be
connected to a network domain
• User account names for each training PC in the classroom.
