System
 Abstract

• To ensure a simple and secure environment for the consumer and the agencies
we are making the 'Online Gas Booking System'. Through this system, we are
solving the customers' problems in a lot of ways like booking their gas cylinder
from home without traveling to the agency and stand in a queue to just book
the gas. This can be achieved with web development technologies like HTML,
CSS, PHP, Javascript and using the database MySQL
• On the other hand, it also makes it easier for the agency to check the number
as a person has booked in a specific amount of time and the person who is
booking the gas is authenticated or not whether he/she has brought the bottle
within the time period, to get his gas booked.
 Objective
• The objectives of the Online Gas (LPG) booking system are as follows To
develop a system that will provide information on the availability of LPG at
different gas stations to avoid queueing of buyers at the gas stations

Existing System
• The existing system is a manual system. In the present Gas bookig system,
all the activities are done manually. All data entry is performed by writing
data into the book, paper documents. The payments are prepared manually,
so there is a chance for occurring errors and the calculations are not so
accurate. Various information's such as customer details, product details,
supplier details stock and customer requirements are handled manually.
When there is need for retrieving detailssearchingisunavoidable this is a
difficult task searching the records manually. This is also too much time
consuming when we want to retrieve details according to some specific
condition.
 Advantages
• The online gas booking system can get much out of the system. The system is used to enter the customer
details and to enter the details about the details about the transaction and stock in detail and about the
reports of the users. This system represents the customers by the 'CUSTOMER ID 'number and the main
advantage of this system is to reduse the time and give efficient services to the customers within limited
period of time.
• 1. Security:
The software used for this gas agency system include the password, so the security is provided. When anyone
opens the software it has the provision for entering password. We have to enter the correct password;
otherwise we cannot enter into the system. Password is saved in system registry for more security.
• 2. User Friendly
This package is very user friendly because it is easy to maintain and operate. All data entry operations are
simple, administrator wants only enter data and all other operations are performed by the computer.
• 3.Speed and Accuracy:
Computerization process increases the speed of all the operations. The manpower is reduced. Instead of doing
all operation manually, computer will do it automatically. It also increases the accuracy of all the operations
performed.
• 4.Efficiency and flexibility:
The flexibility and the efficiency of all the operation in this gas agency system is increased because of the
computerization. No errors are occurred compared to the manual system. Instead of searching lot of data, we
can produce report in a few seconds.
• 5.Formatted Output:
Each output of the proposed system is formatted in such a way so as to allow easy decision making. We can
print the profile easily using data reports

• This proposed system will helps to the customers to register from
any place, along with this they will register in the online gas
booking system through the same website at the same time.

• An Online Gas Booking System project typically consists of several

modules, each designed to handle specific functionalities of the system.
Online Gas BookingSystem has two module i.e. admin and Customer.

 Admin Module
Admin is the superuser of the website who can manage everything on the website. Admin can log in through the login page
• Dashboard:
In this section, admin can see all detail in brief like the total new connection, total new connection, total on-hold connection, total
approved connection, total rejected connection, total new booking, total confirmed booking, total canceled booking, total assign
booking, total delivered LPG, total staff and total registered users
• Delivery Staff:
In this section, admin can manage staff (add/update).
• Reg Users:
In this section, admin can view the detail of registered users.
• Connection:
In this section, admin can view the connection request admin also has the right to change connection status according to the current
status and add his/her remarks.
• Booking:
In this section, admin can view booking request and assign to delivery staff or cancel the booking.
• Assigned Booking:
In this section, admin can change the status of booking according to the current status and add his/her remarks.
• Reports:
In this section, admin can view booking and connection requests in a particular period.
• Search:
In this section, admin can search booking and connection details with the help of booking number and connection number
respectively.
• Admin can also update his profile, change the password and recover the password.
 Customer Module
• Customer Module:
Customer first fill the signup form then login into their panel and do the following activities

This is the Welcome page for the customer.
• New Connection:
In this section, customer sends the request for LPG connection to the organization
• Book Cylinder:
When the organization provides a connection number then the customer can book his/her
cylinder.
• Booking History:
In this section, customer can view the history of gas booking
• Search:
In this section, customer can search gas booking records by entering the booking number.
• The customer can also update his profile, change the password and recover the password..

 Dataflow Diagrams (DFDs)

A Data Flow Diagram (DFD) is a traditional visual representation of the

information flows within a system. A neat and clear DFD can depict the
right amount of the system requirement graphically. It can be manual,
automated, or a combination of both.
It shows how data enters and leaves the system, what changes the
information, and where data is stored.
The objective of a DFD is to show the scope and boundaries of a system
as a whole. It may be used as a communication tool between a system
analyst and any person who plays a part in the order that acts as a
starting point for redesigning a system. The DFD is also called as a data
flow graph or bubble chart.
 Implementation and
System Testing
• After all phase have been perfectly done, the system will be
implemented to the server and the system can be used.

System Testing

• The goal of the system testing process was to determine all faults
in our project .The program was subjected to a set of test inputs
and many explanations were made and based on these
explanations it will be decided whether the program behaves as
expected or not. Our Project went through two levels of testing

The project Online Gas Booking System has been designed and developed according to the
current requirements of a gas booking system. The benefit expected from this is that it could
reduce the burden of traditional method The major goal of the software is to create software
that could automate all gas booking system. Related tasks This software is very helpful to
users who are searching for automating a gas booking system. finally it will get the services to
the people who registered easily.
