low, check for possible oil leaks on the machine, and temperatures will cause failure to the pump. See
repair if necessary. If no leaks are found, add Hydraulic Pump in the Hydraulic Repair - Automatic
hydraulic oil. Balers section.
4. The problem could be that the pressure compensator
on the pump is set too high. See Hydraulic Pump in
the Hydraulic Repair - Automatic Balers section.
5. The problem can be caused by bad piston seals in
any of the cylinders. Oil flows around the piston seals
and returns to tank. This can cause excess flow at
high pressure causing the oil to over heat. See
Checking a Cylinder for Bad Piston Seals in this
section.
6. The problem can be caused by the wrong type of oil
in the system. Only use the correct type of oil for the
machine. See Specifications for the correct type of
hydraulic oil.
7. The problem can be caused by a leak in the suction
line. A small leak can cause air to enter the pump,
causing the pump to cavitate and over heat. Check to
make sure that the fittings on the suction line are not
leaking. Check to make sure the hydraulic hoses are
not damaged.
8. The problem can be a leak in the baler control valves.
With oil at operating temperature, check the return oil
flow from the main control valve with the baler in drive
mode. If the return oil flow is more than 1.9 l/min (0.5
gal/min), then check the components in the baler
control valves. Check for missing O-rings or backup
rings. See Main Control valve in the in the Hydraulic
Repair - Automatic Balers section.
