This document provides instructions for creating a bootable USB key to re-flash a .TBI file onto a thin client. Creating the Bootable USB Key (Pen Drive) for reflashing .TBI file Procedure

Preparation of USB pen drive: 1. Download utility form below link ftp://ftpguest:[email protected]/Utilities/ImagingToolLX/ImagingTool.rar 2. Extract the zip file ImagingTool.rar 3. Insert the USBKey (Pendrive) to system 4. Format the USB Key (PENDRIVE) with Fat32 FS 5. launch the unetbootinwindows408.exe file 6. Select the Disk image browse for the ISO file extracted Image for LinuxR1.iso.

7. Select the Type USB Drive then select Drive {Drive letter where USB KEY (pendrive) is mapped}

8. Click OK to proceed.

9. Click Exit, Eject the pendrive and pluin again. 10. Create folder Image on USB Key (Pen Drive) 11. Copy .tbi files on image folder created. Now Pen drive is ready for the reflashing. Reflashing procedure: 1. Plugin the pen drive to thin client 2. Power on the thin client 3. Go to CMOS and change the boot order, to boot it from a USB Key (Pen Drive) (if USB Key does not appear in the Hard disk boot order, then in COMS > Integrated Peripherals > USB Device Settings. Change mode to HDD mode from Auto of listed USB Key (Pen drive) under ***USB Mass Storage Device Boot Settings*** and then save changes and reboot the thin client and go to COMS settings and select the boot device as USB Key (Pen drive) 4. Select Default and press enter) under the unetbootin 5. Select the option Run the Image for Linux program then select Next 6. Select Restore from the Select Operation Menu then select Next 7. Select File (OS) from Select File Access Method options then select Next 8. Now you need to required .tbi file which you have copied to Image folder a. Presee TAB key b. Select .. and press Enter Key c. Select mnt folder and press Enter key if the /mnt folder is empty you need to mount the USB KEY / PEN Drive partition refer to the section below Mounting Drive partition. d. e. Here select the required .TBI file from the available and press Enter. 9. Select Drive from Select Item to Process 10. Select /dev/hda from Select Target Drive options In case of SATA Drive need to select /dev/sda 11. Select the Default values and select Next Option Select Scale to Fit option if you require reflashing on Higher Flash then the image size. 12. Select Finish, this will start the Restoring Process (it will take Aprox 23 min) 13. POPup Windows will appear The restore has completed successfully press Enter key to continue. 14. Select Exit press Enter key 15. Select Exit to the Linux Command prompt and press Enter Key 16. Type shutdown h" 17. Once the shutdown process completed, remove the USB Key (Pen Drive) from thin client and Power On the thin client.

Mounting Drive partition 1. Plugin the pen drive to thin client 2. Power on the thin client 3. Select Default and press enter) under the unetbootin 5. Press ALT+F2 to change to console 6. Type mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt 7. Press ALT+F1 to return to IFL 8. Then follow from the point No. 5 from above given Reflashing procedure: section.
