UNDERSTANDING THE PROBLEM

• As the world is moving towards

digitalization, IOT is set to have
profound impact on us as well as on
industries making the work easy, smooth
and efficient.
• Since there are a lot of projects that can
be done under “Experimenting with
IOT”, we have decided to start with a
basic one to learn how things work that
is Temperature sensor – to turn the LED
‘ON’ when the temperature is above a
certain limit and turn ‘OFF’ when it is
below that limit.

~2
APPROACH FOR THE PROJECT
o We first identified and researched about all the components
present in the Arduino kit.

~3
ARDUINO SENSOR KIT

1. Arduino is a single board

microcontroller, intended to
make the process of using
electronics multidisciplinary
projects more accessible.
2. Arduino can sense the
environment by receiving
input from variety of sensor.
3.It can affects its surrounding
by controlling light , motors and
other actuators .

~4
TEMPERATURE SENSOR
• The Grove Temperature & Humidity Sensor module is
perfect for recording local environmental data. It uses the
DHT11 sensor (short for Digital, Humidity, Temperature),
which can retrieve values in both analog and digital format.
• Plugging the connections :
Plug in the Grove Temperature & Humidity Sensor module to
the Digital Pin marked D3 on your Grove Base Shield. Attach
the Shield to your Arduino and connect it to your computer.

CODES

• We have also made some progress in learning Arduino

codes and are making progress in making our project more
efficient

Summary of Current Progress

o Till now our team has progressed quit a lot from knowing nothing
about iot to making some working codes and experimenting with
some sensors

o We are currently working on making a circuit that can detect and

display temperature.
