Dear Parents of classes X and XII, Jai Guru Dev & Greetings from Principal MIRS.
Sub: Half Yearly and Board Practical Exam Schedule Reg.,
IMPORTANT INFORMATION! PLEASE GIVE DUE CARE.
1. Half Yearly exam starts from 07.12.24 for classes X and XII.
2. Attendance is mandatory for the half yearly examination or the internal marks will not be considered.
Internal marks and the score for appearing for the college admission will be based on the Half yearly exam
marks.
3. 80% of attendance is mandatory for taking up the board exam. (Refer CBSE website for the circular)
4. Fee defaulters (school) of the second term should make the payment on or before 6th to get the hall ticket
for writing the half yearly exam.
5. Without the hall ticket, the children cannot write the exam.
6. Fee defaulters of Transport and Mess cannot avail the facility from Monday 7th December as per the
instructions of the Management. So, make the payment on or before 7th December 2024.
7. Winter holidays after the Half yearly exam has been reduced and the same has been intimated already
through a circular on 16.11.2024. Winter holidays are given only on 31.12.2024 & 01.12.2024. The school
reopens on 2nd January 2025 after short break (on Account of Christmas 25.12.2024 will be a Holiday). It
is to compensate the holidays and shortage of working days.
8. The CBSE Board Practical Exam for class XII is planned from 23rd January (Thursday). The dates may be
even advanced or postponed as per the availability of the External Examiners that the board allocate to
conduct the exam. Children should be ready for the Board practical exam from 10th January 2025.
9. The record and the projects should be submitted on or before 13th December 2024 to the respective subject
teachers for checking.
10. The grades for Work Experience, General Studies and Physical Education based on the submission of
records and performance of the students in the Exams. These grades will reflect in the board mark sheet.
11. Only the students who submit the records and the project will be permitted to take up the Half yearly and
model practical exam.
12. Half yearly practical exam is scheduled from 26th to 30th December 2024. Model Practical & Mock practical
exam is scheduled between 2nd January 2025 to 10th January 2025.
13. PTM for classes IX to XII has been scheduled 30.12.2024 for the hostel students between 02.00 and 03.30
p.m. and PTM for the day scholars will be conducted on 28.12.2024 (Saturday) between 02.00 and 03.30
p.m. (Quarterly, III Unit, Revision Exams & Half yearly exam marks will be discussed)
14. Parents of classes IX to XII must attend the PTM to know about the progress of the students. It is mandatory.
Kindly attend the PTM and do not blame the school for the poor performance of your ward. It’s your prime
duty to attend the PTM.
15. The following measures have been taken and planned for improving the score of the students doing well
and not doing well.
a. Poor scorers have been identified and special coaching is given during the evening between 3.30 and
05.15 p.m. (both Dayscholars and hostel)
b. Revision is given for every exam.
c. Orientation programme is planned after half yearly or in between half yearly exams to give
guidelines.
d. High achievers are given revision by the teachers separately.
e. Sample questions have been shared with the children for self-practice.
f. Morning class by the subject teachers is arranged and conducted successfully for the hostel students.
g. Evening study hour is taken care by the subject teachers to clarify the doubts of the hostel students.
h. Two revision (split up portions) and Half Yearly (full portion) and Cluster / Model Common Pre –
Board exam have been planned between 2nd January and 10th January 2025.
All the parents are requested to co-operate and support the school by sending the children to school for
revision and exam. Also ensure that your ward attends the coaching class. Motivate your ward to prepare
and perform well in all the upcoming exams to get good score in the board examination. We hope you are
all aware of the Board Exam Schedule (shared Last week). It starts in the month of Feb, 2025.
