A small project has 7 activities and the time in days for each activity is given below:
Activity Duration in days
A 6
B 8
C 3
D 4
E 6
F 10
G 3

• Given that activities A and B can start at the beginning of the project.
• When A is completed C and D can start.
• E can start only when B and D are finished.
• F can start when B, C and D are completed and is the final activity.
• G can start when E is finished and is the final activity.

Draw the network diagram, determine the critical path, and calculate the project completion
time.
Question 2: Marks=05
The demand rate for a specific item is 18,000 units per year. The ordering cost is 𝑅𝑠. 150 per
order, and the holding cost is 𝑅𝑠. 1 per item per month. Assuming there are no shortages and
replacements are instantaneous, determine:
I. The economic order quantity.
II. The time between orders.
III. The number of orders per year.
