I. Define
1. What are standard operating procedures (SOPs).
SOP - Standard Operating Procedure is a detailed step-by-step
instruction document for performing a specific job or process in a
business. SOP helps employees clearly understand their work,
thereby minimizing errors and optimizing processes, contributing to
improving efficiency and quality in operations.
1.2. What is manual processing
A term used to refer to any activity in which a person needs to use
their strength to perform actions such as lifting, pushing, pulling,
carrying, or moving an object.

II. Introduce
1. Purpose
The report aims to evaluate and analyze the manual processing
process in detail. Helps better understand the advantages,
disadvantages and procedures during the working process. Support
for improving and optimizing steps in this process, contributing to
improving work efficiency and effectiveness.
2. Scope
The report focuses on describing all steps in the manual processing
process, including preparation, processing, observation and finishing
work. The content of the report includes information about the
working process, support tools, documents and data collected during

the implementation process taken from

3. Implementation method
• Use relevant documents
• Instruction manual on the curriculum
• Group discussion

III. Make a travel plan

1. Necessary equipment
Protective gear: Boots, gloves, protective clothing
Supported devices:
Trolley
Hydraulic platform elevator
Hydraulic Jib Crane for changing lathe chuck
Engine crane
Pallet lifting machine

1.1. Survey box moving area and discuss work with supervisor
Before moving boxes, conduct a survey of the area to be moved and
inform the supervisor about the necessary work, procedures and
precautions to be taken.
Movement area: Wide enough, limited obstacles
It must be ensured that all processes are safe throughout the task

2. Risk assessment
2.1. Determine required resources
Necessary equipment:
Protective gloves and anti-slip protective boots
Protective gear suitable for the procedure
Supported devices:
Hand carts to support the moving process to ensure safer handling
Rope and elastic band to secure
 Only use specialized equipment for moving heavy goods.
However, if specialized equipment is not available, the use of hand
carts and protective equipment as stated above are necessary
variations to ensure safety.

2.2. Steps needed to move the box

Step 1: Assess the weight and size of each box to decide on the
appropriate moving method. Check if the label is torn or missing
before moving.
Step 2: Wear protective gloves, protective shoes and necessary
protective equipment.
Step 3: Use proper lifting technique, avoid bending and only use
back strength to lift the box.
Step 4: Make sure the box is firmly fixed on the cart.
Step 5: Move the box to the necessary location, following the pre-
surveyed safe path.
Step 6: Place the box down safely and make sure it is not tilted,
prone to falling or sliding off the rails.

2.3. Hazards during moving boxes

Hazard section

2.4. Individual roles and responsibilities of each member

My role is to assist in checking and ensuring safe moving areas, and
carry out moving stock boxes according to procedures discussed and
agreed upon with teachers.
Role of each individual:
Staff observe and check
Employees are assigned to move equipment
Lifting staff
Other individuals in the area: Be sure not to move into the marked
area and comply with instructions from supervisors.

IV. Discuss moving

The 15kg box is still within the range of being able to move it by
hand, but there is still a potential risk to the back and shoulders if
done incorrectly.
Risks have been identified such as the risk of slipping,
musculoskeletal injuries when lifting boxes and the risk of boxes
falling from trolleys and the teacher has confirmed that the proposed
safety measures and moving procedures meet these requirements.
Meet labor safety requirements.

V. Move the box

Follow the safety procedures contained within

Evaluate implementation steps, risks and corrective measures.

Once I complete the box move, I will perform cleanup tasks to

ensure the workplace remains clean and safe. As if
Clean up work area after work hours.
 Sweep the floor.
 Clean the desk.
 Eliminate waste.
 Classify waste into waste that can be reused and recycled.
 Store reusable materials at their designated locations.
 Dispose of trash using the bins provided and properly.
 Clean tools.
Check the tool during cleaning for any defects. If you find a
defective/broken tool, follow the defective tool procedure.
Maintain tools as needed, e.g. lubricate, tighten, replace
blades/discs/etc. Follow maintenance instructions in each tool's
specific SOP.
Store tools in their designated locations.

Conclude
Manual processing is an essential part of many organizations'
operations, especially where high precision and control are required.
Through analysis, this report has shown that this process is not only
effective in processing information but also flexible, allowing
employees to adjust to real-life situations. However, it is also
important to note that manual processes can face some limitations,
such as being ineffective when the workload is large, prone to errors
due to human factors, and completion times can be long. . To
improve efficiency, organizations should consider applying support
tools and focus on training employees on work processes. In short,
improving manual processing processes is necessary to better meet
work requirements in the modern business environment.
