1. Course Learning Outcome


At the end of the course students give and ask for information about their
routines, preferences, and personal information, and those of others, to function
in the English language using grammatical and lexical conventions
corresponding to level A1..

2. Description
 Step 1: Collaborative work (get into pairs). The groups must be the same as in
the “Final Assignment - Part I”.
 Step 2: Review the course's study materials and your personal notes from each
session.
 Step 3: Prepare a 3 - minute presentation with your partner.
 Situation: Remember the email that you wrote last week? Disney loved your
team! They want to get to know you better. Because of that, they ask you to
send a video where you and your friend ask each other for personal information,
routines, and preferences.
 Content:
 Personal information
 Daily routines
 Grammar and vocabulary from Units 1-4.
 Use the 1st and 2nd person singular and plural form
 Food, music, and activities you prefer (like/dislike/love/hate +noun,
like/dislike/love/hate + verb (gerund) in affirmative and negative form
 And, then (coordinating conjunctions):

Greetings
Farewells
Countries and nationalities
Numbers
Vocabulary Demonstratives
Everyday items
Family relations
Jobs and occupations

Present simple
Verb to be
Pronouns
Grammar
Indefinite articles (a/an)
Possessives
Adjectives

 Before starting the dialogue, each member must introduce themselves


mentioning their full name. Then, ask and answer the following questions:
 What do you do on weekdays?
 What do you do on weekends?
 When do you (ex. study)?
 What do you like/dislike doing?
 What kind of music/food do you like/love/dislike/hate?
 What is your favorite (ex. kind of music)?
 Do you like (ex. pasta)?
 Do not forget that each student must ask and answer questions. A student
cannot just ask the questions.
 Keep in mind that this is group work, but the grading will be individual.
 Step 4:
 Practice the dialogue with your partner paying attention to the pronunciation
and intonation.
 Practice again and record the dialogue.
 Step 5: Once you are ready, record yourselves in multimedia in the learning
platform or upload your video in Youtube /Drive and share the link in a Word
format in the learning platform.
 Step 6: Use the following structure:
 Cover: Your names and last names must be there. Include your photos. There
are 2 options to do it: (Choose one)
 Option 1: Insert the cover in your video, if you record it in the learning platform.
 Option 2: Insert the cover in a Word format with the YouTube link/Drive link.

 Step 3: Prepare a 4-minute interview with your group.
 Situation:
 Remember the text you posted on Instagram last week about the tourist
attractions in a city you visited last summer? It received 1,000 likes! Now you
want to post a video showing you and your partner(s) telling people about what
they can do and see in it. Record a short video promoting the tourist attractions
of this beautiful city.
 Student A describes what activities people can do in this city.
 Student B describes what people can see and eat in this city.

Now it's time for you to do part 2 of the final assignment (Oral Product).
Follow the instructions below. Consider that if you need to review a topic, you
can always go back as often as needed. Remember that you have to present
this assignment on Tuesday of week 18.

1. Course Learning Outcome


By the end of the course the student produces information in the English
language on familiar topics to express everyday actions in present, past and
future at a level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for
Languages (CEFR).

2. Description

 Step 1: Collaborative work (get into pairs). The groups must be the same as in
the “Final Assignment - Part I”.
 Step 2: Review the course's study materials and your personal notes from each
session.
 Step 3: Give a 4-minute presentation with your partner.
 Situation: Remember last week you wrote a text about your worst summer
vacation for your English class?. Now, you are going to organize the best
summer vacation together and give a presentation to share your plans with the
class. Include in your presentation the places you are going to visit, when and
how you are going to get there, the activities you are going to do, clothes and
accessories you are going to take with you, etc. Make a comparison between
your worst summer vacation and how different your next summer vacation is
going to be. At the end of your presentation make a prediction about something
you are certain is going to happen during your vacation.
 Content:
 Past simple with regular and irregular verbs in affirmative and negative forms
 Future with going to and present continuous in affirmative and negative forms
 Comparative and superlative form of adjectives
 Adjectives to describe feelings
 Adjectives to describe places
 Vacation activities
 Action verbs
 Sports and leisure activities
 Linking words “and”, “but”, and “because”.

Keep in mind that this is group work, but the grading will be individual.
