CSI Linux and Oracle VM Download Instructions
1. Download the VirtualBox or VMware Player (or any virtualization software of your
choice).

2. Install the VirtualBox Extension Pack
a. Note: The latest full version of CSI Linux 2023 is provided as a Virtual Machine Appliance in OVA
format. Follow the steps below to install it.
3. Download the CSI Linux 2023 ISO image from the official website or trusted source.

VirtualBox Installation
1. Open VirtualBox: Open VirtualBox and click on the "New" button to create a new virtual
machine.
2. Setup Virtual Machine: Name your virtual machine (e.g., CSI Linux 2023) and choose
the type and version (usually Linux and 64-bit).
3. Memory and CPU: Assign RAM and CPU resources based on your hardware
capabilities.
4. Hard Disk: Create a virtual hard disk. Choose VDI (VirtualBox Disk Image) as the type
of the hard disk.
5. Storage: Set storage settings according to your needs. You can select dynamic
allocation to save space.
6. Finish Setup: Click "Create" to complete the setup.
VirtualBox Extension Pack Installation
1. Download the VirtualBox Extension Pack from the VirtualBox website.
2. Launch VirtualBox and go to "File" -> "Preferences" -> "Extensions" in the menu bar.
3. Click on the "Add" button (represented by a green plus icon) and select the downloaded
Extension Pack file.
4. Follow the prompts to install the Extension Pack.
5. Accept the terms and conditions when prompted.
Load CSI Linux 2023
1. Open VirtualBox if it's not already running.
2. Go to "File" -> "Import Appliance" in the menu bar.
3. In the dialog box that appears, click on the folder icon to browse and locate the
downloaded OVA file.
4. Select the CSI Linux 2023 OVA file and click "Next."
5. Review the appliance settings and make any necessary adjustments (if desired), then
click "Import."
6. The import process will start, and it may take some time to build the virtual machine.
7. Launch CSI Linux 2023
8. Once the import process is complete, you will see CSI Linux 2023 listed in the VirtualBox
Manager.
9. Select the CSI Linux 2023 virtual machine from the list.
10. Click on the "Start" button (represented by a green arrow) in the toolbar or double-click
on the virtual machine.
11. The CSI Linux 2023 virtual machine will start, and you can begin using it.
