IN-SERVICE TRAINING EMCEE SCRIPT

INTRODUCTION

ANDREW: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen allow us to start this opening program
with a wise remark from Dylan William that says, “Every teacher needs to improve,
not because they are not good enough, but because they can be even better”. To
our Deped Officials, School Administrators and Staff, our co teacher – participants of
NORTH DISTRICT 6, once again a pleasant morning to everyone!

CATHY: Today marks the first day of our 5 – day IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR
TEACHERS happening here in Zapatera National High School. My fellow teachers, it’s
that time of the year once again – it’s semestral break for some but for us it’s another
journey of professional development and hopefully a fun filled and worthwhile
experience.

ANDREW: That’s right, even if we are not literally taking a break from our role as
classroom teachers, this training/seminar is somewhat a refresher course for us and a
perfect opportunity for us to keep ourselves updated of the educational trends.

CATHY: Correct! And we should always remember that we cannot give what we do not
have, so if we want to give more to our students and to further our commitment in
teaching, attending the IN-SERVICE TRAINING today might just actually be a right
decision.

PROGRAM PROPER

ANDREW: Since this event is deemed significant, may we request everybody to stand
and let us officially commence our gathering today by asking divine intervention for our
opening prayer and this shall be followed by the singing of the Philippine National
Anthem via audio -video presentation.

CATHY: Please be seated. To affirm the significance of this event and to formally
welcome us all, let us welcome our very active and supportive PUBLIC SCHOOL
DISTRICT SUPERVISOR of North District 6, let us give a round of applause to DR.
RONALD LLERIN.

Thank you, Doc Llerin, for that heartwarming message for all of us.

ANDREW: At this point we shall give due recognition to the most important people of
this event. They are the primary reason of this gathering. Who are these people? Well,
I’m referring to you teachers! This training wouldn’t be possible without your presence.
So now, allow us to acknowledge the participants of this 5-day IN-SERVICE TRAINING
FOR TEACHERS. Let me call our teacher-participants from:
A: PARIL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
C: MABINI NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
A: BINALIW NATIONAL HIGH SCHOO
C: BANILAD NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
A: ZAPATERA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

ANDREW: Thank you, TEACHERS, from North District 6.

CATHY: Now, we know what we came here for. If someone would ask us why we are
here, our ready answer would be to attend the training/seminar but specifically what do
you think are our goals of being here today? Well, if you’re not sure yet, let’s listen and
be guided as the School Principal of Banilad National High School, gives us the
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE. Let’s give it up for MR. DEODORO I. BELDENIZA.

ANDREW: Thank you for the powerful (inspiring, heartfelt, heartwarming, etc.) words
Sir Deo. We teachers often stimulate our students’ senses to prepare them for the
learning process and today we are no different from our students. We came here today
not as teachers or facilitators but as learners.

CATHY: Earlier we had been guided with setting the right goals for this weeklong
training. While it is truly important to have similar goals, it is also necessary to establish
the right expectations so we could move as one, into a single direction. So, at this
juncture may we call on the School Principal of ________________ to set the right
expectations for our participants for the TRAINING MATRIX. Let’s give a round
of applause to MR. JUNVIC INDAYA.

Thank you, Sir Indaya, for conveying us the details of this 5-day INSET.

ANDREW: We are wrapping up our opening program with some reminders for our
participants. We always mean business when we attend trainings like this and while we
fully trust ourselves to behave properly for the whole duration of the training, let us keep
in mind these house rules. To give us the HOUSE RULES, let us all welcome the
Assistant School Principal of Zapatera National High School, MR. ALAN GEPITULAN.
A round of applause please!

Thank you, Sir Alan.

CATHY: And now our dear teacher-participants, let us all lend our ears as we listen to
MRS. KHIDDIE LUZ V. AUTENTICO the Assisting School Principal of Zapatera
National High School as she informs us of the THINGS TO ACCOMPLISH for entire
duration of our 5-day IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR TEACHERS. A big hand please.

Thank you so much Mrs. Autentico.

ANDREW: We have come to the end of this program yet our exciting journey for this
weeklong training has just begun. I’m ANDREW LEO A. CASTRODES and CATHY B.
LIMPAG and we are honored to be your hosts for today’s opening program of our IN-
SERVIE TRAINING FOR TEACHERS.

CATHY: Remember to have fun while learning and believe that today will be a great
one. With that, allow us to end this program with this wise remark. A teacher affects
eternity so don’t forget to make a difference not only in the life of your students but in
the generations to come.

BOTH: Thank you very much and see you around!
