HTML, or HyperText Markup Language, is the


standard language used to create and design
documents on the web. It structures web
content using a series of elements and tags,
allowing developers to define headings,
paragraphs, links, images, and other
multimedia. HTML is foundational for web
development, enabling browsers to interpret
and display content accurately. With the
introduction of HTML5, new features like
semantic elements, audio, video support, and
improved forms have enhanced its capabilities.
HTML works in conjunction with CSS (Cascading
Style Sheets) for styling and JavaScript for
interactivity, forming the core trio of web
technologies essential for modern web
applications.
