Sub: Choice of station for transfer/posting.

Sir/lVladam,

The new Transfer & Posting Policy has been approved by the Competent Authority and will be
effective from I't January of the relevant year which is issued vide this offtce letter dated 23-09-2024-

2. However, in terms of para 5 of Government of India Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances

and Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training OM No. 220111412013-Estt (D) dated 08-05-2017 in
order to streamline the process of timely convening of DPCs, it has been decided that henceforth, the
vacancy year may be shifted to Calendar Year from the year 2018 onwards and the crucial date of
eligibility will be l't of January of the Vacancy year w.e.f' 0l-01-2019.
3. DpCs in respect of officials in Rajbhasha cadre i.e. Hindi Officer and Senior Translator have also
been accordingly shifted to Calendar year from the year 2018 onwards. Therefore, it has been decided
that the routine transfer posting of the officials of the Rajbhasha cadre will also be effective from l't
January of the relevant calendar year instead of Itt April of the relevant year.

4. As provided in para 4.5 of the new transfer/posting policy officials who have completed their
prescribed tenure of 07 (seven) years as on 31 .12.2024 are eligible for transfer. He/she will be
accommodated at their choice of station as far as possible as per availability of vacancy and
Administrative convenience.

5. As provided in para 4.6 of the transferiposting policy officials who have completed 03 (three)
years as on 3l-12-2024 in Region "C" (except for J&K, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and the North
Eastem Region including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim
and Tripura) and who want to give station (s) of choice, in order of preference. They will be
accommodated at their choice of station, as far as possible, subject to administrative feasibility and
availability of vacancy.
6. Those officials who have completed their prescribed tenure as on 31.12.2024 in North Eastern,
J&K and Andaman & Nicobar Islands are to give station (s) ofchoice, in order of preference. They will
be accommodated at their choice of station, as far as possible, subject to administrative feasibility and
availability of vacancy.
7. A list of stations having posts of Rajbhasha cadre is enclosed (Annexure-A, B and C). Those
officials, who are due for transfer as per transfer policy, may be requested to exercise their
option/willingness in order of preference of posting at stations in the format given in "Annexure-A, B
and C" and the same may be fumished through their offices alongwith station choice to the email
acn2.cag(acas.gov.in latest by 04.10.2024. Those officials whose option is not received by the stipulated
date are liable to be transferred to any station.

8. The station choice ofoffrcials belonging to Divyang, Spouse ground (as per existing guidelines
of DoPT) and superarnuating (in next two years) categories shall also be routed through their offices
alongwith station choice and following supporting documents:-
Spouse und:-
i. Request/application from the employee,
ii. Attested copy of ID card of spouse and,
iii. A certificate from the spouse office mentioning the date which he/she was posted in that station,
whether the post is transferable or not.
Diwang catesorv:
i. Request/application from the employee
ii. Attisted iopy of medical certificate issued by the Medical Board for consideration of the
transfer/posting committee.
