Lockserver error: TCP/IP error connecting to server, error value is 10061

English

Description:

Lockserver error: TCP/IP error connecting to server, error value is 10061

Steps To Reproduce:

Fourth Shift LOCKSRVR.EXE is out of date

The LOCKSRVR.EXE found in the WINDOWS directory on the FS server is out of date for the release the user is running.

The LOCKSRVR.EXE found in the C:\WINDOWS directory on the FS server is out of date for the release user is running.

To verify:

1. Go to the FS MSS database server

2. Check the date of the LOCKSRVR.EXE in the c:\windows directory
3. Compare this date against the locksrvr.exe on the FS MSS CD-ROM of the release you are running.

Resolution:

Install the correct LOCKSRVR.EXE

Fourth Shift System Administrator knowledge required

Steps:

1. Have all users exit the Fourth Shift system

3. Stop the lockserver by opening a DOS box on the FS MSS server machine and moving to the C:\WINNt directory and
typing in "NET STOP LOCKSERVER"
4. In DOSC:\WINNT directory delete the current lockserver by typing "FSLOCKST DELETE"
5. Copy the correct LOCKSRVR.EXE from the correct Fourth Shift CD-ROM to the C:\WINNT directory of the server.
Overwriting the existing file.
6. Re-install the lockserver by typing "FSLOCKST CREATE C:\WINNT\LOCKSRVR.EXE at the FS server.
7. Start the lockserver service
8. Reboot the FS database server
9. Retry the application
