Write-up for Digital Platform
lockdowns and have changed the way businesses used to function. In our day to day dealing with
various stakeholders of Zetwerk be it Lenders, Suppliers, Customers there are a lot of documentation
which need to be signed and executed by the Authorised signatory and Directors of Zetwerk. We were
doing all this process using physical signatures and using courier services to send the document for
getting signatures of other party, however due to lockdowns the courier is taking more time and there
is a challenge to procure Non-Judicial Stamp Paper and we have been getting requests from various
Business Units to digitise the process. We have seen a lot of public companies, banks and start-up
who have transcended towards digital transformation and are using e-signature.
Multiple industry leaders have recognized the benefits of utilizing e-signatures long ago, however, it
has become more of a necessity to use e-signature during covid19. Many of our Employees and other
party’s professionals want to continue working and be able to sign a contract from their homes while
not endangering anyone around them.
Most secured way of signing in India right now is using Aadhaar eSign, this is a government
prescribed method of digitally signing a document and has legal and evidentiary value equivalent
to that of wet (hand-written) signatures. In fact, digital signatures including Aadhaar eSigns can
have more evidentiary weight than wet signatures.
Aadhaar eSign is a completely legally compliant method of digital signing and the infrastructure
for Aadhaar eSign is provided by the UIDAI and the Controller of Certifying Authorities, Ministry
of Electronics & IT, Govt. of India through intermediaries known as eSign Service Providers
(ESPs) and Application Service Providers (ASPs).
Aadhaar eSign works over the UIDAI provided Aadhaar eKYC services, eliminating the need for
physical KYC processes and issuance of a dongle. Through Aadhaar eSign, every time a
transaction request is made, KYC authentication happens in realtime through Aadhaar eKYC and a
Digital Signature Certificate is issued for one-time use for digitally signing the information
provided in the transaction request. The user does not need to have access to any special device or
software and can sign a document using an ASPs application. The signing happens through
utilisation of the servers of ASPs, ESPs, CCA and UIDAI.
We have done a market assessment of the companies who are providing these services and came
across four of them who have a good market hold and a seamless process.

We had taken Sandbox Access of all the three service providers (except NSDL) to get a first hand
experience of the platforms and based on our internal evaluation found SignDesk suitable for the
present needs of Zetwerk, and the price of the product also seem reasonable compared with other
alternatives. The quotation is attached herewith for your perusal and approval.
These platforms will not only help Zetwerk execute contracts with external parties but will also help
our internal documentation needs such as Employee onboarding and Employee Confidentiality
Agreement and many more.
Further, our long-term goal is to become self-reliant by having gain access to the SignDesk platform,
study it and then using Tech Team’s help replicate the same on our own and directly engage with
NSDL for getting E-signing and having our direct account with StockHolding Corporation (company
which provided E-stamp facility) without any intermediary
Since, there a lot of contracts of different Business Unit’s which are on hold due to non-availability of
digital signing platform, we request to expedite the process of procurement.
