RATIONALE:

Parallel to the three procedures under the Curriculum Implementation process, the Curriculum
Implementation Division Team shall ensure the following during the on field COMUSTA.

1. Instructional Supervision. Provide a system in monitoring appropriate implementation of


curriculum based on national standards.
2. Learning Outcomes Assessment. Evaluate the utilization of the assessment results for the
provision of learning intervention activities.
3. Program Implementation. Established to provide a system in the implementation of DepEd
curriculum programs.
INSTRUCTIONAL SUPERVISION DIMENSIONS
1. CURRICULAR DIMENSION
-Articulates the DepEd’s Vision, Mission, Core Values and Goals and the concept of
instructional supervision so that it is understood.
-Reflects on schedule to see what portion of the day is spent in instructional related
activities as opposed to managerial ones.
-Determines goals, priority initiatives, and needs for school this school year.
-Identifies and used successful strategies for sharing its goals with the community
and aligning appropriate resources, both human and financial to support your needs.
-determines priorities, steps toward matching its goals with a plan for professional
development to support them.
-Focuses on providing support, LAC session, INSET for teachers and educators whose

-Checks teachers’ professional documents
-Considers learner’s differences
-Supports instructional programs (provides instructional materials)
-Advises, provides Technical Assistance and assists teachers

3. PHYSICAL RESOURCES DIMENSION
-Presence of adequate/enough physical structure e.g classroom conducive for
learning

-Adequate and safe school grounds
-Maintained structure
4. LEARNING RESOURCES DIMENSION
-Checks DLP/DLL/WLP/WLL of teachers with ready check list
-Distributes textbooks, SLMs, Modules and other instructional materials to the
learners
-Presence of teachers’ guide, lesson exemplar,
-Presence of manual and charts
-Uses available computers, TV sets and video lessons and other instructional support
INSTRUCTIONAL SUPERVISON PERSPECTIVE (KRA
Based)
1. INSTRUCTIONAL SUPERVISION PERSPECTIVE
-Provides guidance and Instructional Supervision to teachers by observing and
gathering data on their strengths and development needs and then coaching them
towards improved instructional delivery practices
-Observes and gather data on the strengths and competency (KSA) development
needs of teachers and coach teachers /school heads on how to improve teachers
KSA in teaching -learning delivery.
-Assess the situation of schools and learning centers, and identify actions needed to
put in place an enabling environment for teachers /school heads to deliver quality
basic education
2. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT, ENRICHMENT, AND
LOCALIZATION PERSPECTIVE
-Conducts monitoring and evaluation of the school’s implementation of the localized
curriculum to provide feedback to management towards continues enhancement of
the curriculum
