Concepts

Volunteerism: The practice of doing work for good causes, without being paid for it OR the practice of giving one's time or talents for
charitable, educational, or other worthwhile activities, especially in one's community.

Environmental health: It is the science and practice of preventing human injury and illness and promoting well-being by different actions. It
focuses on the interrelationships between people and their environment, promotes human health and well-being, and fosters healthy and safe
communities.

Sustainable Development -: It is the idea that human societies must live and meet their needs without compromising the ability of future
generations to meet their own needs
‘Sustainable Development is the organizing principle for meeting human development goals while simultaneously sustaining the ability of natural
systems to provide the natural resources and ecosystem services on which the economy and society depends.’ Wikipedia
