Figure 1(a)- Drawing limits were set by pressing format then drawing limits. Lower left
corner set to (0,0) and upper right corner set to (1000,1000).
1(b), drawing units were set by using the shortcut un+enter or by pressing format, then
units. Here engineering type was selectd and option 2 in precision section was selected.
Units were in inches.
Figure 2(a)- go to text section, then type in 0.5” height . 2(b), move to primary units, then select
engineering, precision 0-0.0”, 0 feet, 0 inches.
Figure 3- Right click on OSNAP at the bottom side, then select every boxes present, this ensures easier
and precise drawings on autocad such as identifying midpoints, endpoints, center e.t.c. Turn on
ORTHO for 2D drawings. It automatically selects angles 0, 90 ,180 ,270.
Conclusion
In conclusion, setting up the required parameters ensures accurate drawings as instructed according to
the lab manual and course coordinator. Moreover it helps for more quicker, efficient drawings.
