In my recent role as a Cloud Security Engineer Intern at Virtually Testing Foundation, I focused on
leveraging Microsoft Azure Security Technologies and obtained AWS Certified Security Specialty
accreditation. My responsibilities included managing Identity Access Management, Data Protection,
and Security Governance across AWS and Azure platforms. Collaborating with the Cloud Security
department, I addressed security issues and implemented measures to enhance the overall security
posture of cloud environments. I also utilized various security tools and technologies, such as IAM,
Azure Sentinel, EC2, and S3 buckets, to safeguard cloud security and user-data security.
Prior to this, as a DevOps Engineer Intern at PearlThoughts, I worked on optimizing cloud infrastructure
for enhanced performance and reliability. I developed and implemented a CI/CD pipeline using
Terraform, which streamlined the workflow and improved efficiency by reducing manual effort by 65%.
My role also involved managing automated build and continuous software integration processes,
ensuring smooth and efficient deployment. Collaborating with a team of 20 individuals, I promoted a
competitive environment that encouraged quick and accurate work, delivering a robust infrastructure
setup that supported the organization's operational needs.
Earlier in my career, I served as an AWS Cloud Security Associate at Virtually Testing Foundation,
where I managed AWS platforms and implemented comprehensive security frameworks. I was
responsible for defining policies and permissions to control user access, ensuring compliance with
security standards. My efforts in identifying vulnerabilities and implementing remediation strategies
resulted in a 96% reduction in security risks. I documented security policies, procedures, and
configurations to support compliance efforts and regulatory assessments.
My experience in cybersecurity operations, focusing on threat detection, analysis, and mitigation during
my internship at SISTMR, Australia, has further solidified my ability to handle complex cloud
environments. I have developed and implemented security protocols to protect sensitive information
and ensure compliance with industry standards.
I am particularly drawn to the Cloud Engineer role at Stantec because of its commitment to driving
