INTERNAL ASSESSMENT PROJECT APRIL - 2023

CLASS IX

Please note the following guidelines for the project.

The project should contain:

 The title page – Title, Subject, Name, Class, Year.


 Acknowledgement
 Index
 Introduction
 Contents
 Conclusion
 Bibliography – Books and internet sites (for pictures) referred to.

 Stencils are to be used for writing headings and sub-headings.


 Margins to be drawn.

 The project should be written on A4 size paper in students’ handwriting.

 Relevant pictures must be pasted on the left side of the page and written work
must be done on the right side of the page.
 Projects should have a theme on the pages. Students are encouraged to design a
page on the computer and take copies of it.
 Projects should be submitted in spiral-bound, format.
 The project will be considered as internal assessment and will carry 20 marks.
Date of submission is on Monday, 12th June 2023.

ENGLISH 1. Write the following letters.


a) Recently you visited a place that you found very appealing.
LANGUAGE
Write a letter to your friend telling him about your
experience of that place.

b) Write a letter to the Principal of your school, requesting


him to extend the time for the Games period from the
present 40 minutes to 1 hour. Give reasons for your
request.

2. Attempt questions 2a and 2b.
a) Your school is organizing an Inter-School 'Spelling Bee'
Contest. Write a notice to be put in your school informing
the students about the contest and inviting them to
participate in it.

b) Write an email to the Principal of a neighbouring school,


requesting him/her to send a team from his/her school to
participate in the Inter-School Spelling Bee Contest.

*Character sketch of the main characters in the drama(at

Guidelines for the project are:-
Only black pen to be used for writing the project.
Use a blue pen for underlining the subtopics.
No glitter pens allowed.

HISTORY Topic - Constituent Assembly


Introduction - Write about Constituent Assembly and its
& formation.
CIVICS Select any ten Members of the Constituent Assembly and
write about their contribution to the Constituent Assembly.
Conclusion.
Main events and achievements of the Constituent
Assembly.
Paste relevant pictures with headings on the left side of the
project.
Margin is mandatory on all four side.
Headings and subheadings must be written in bold.

GEOGRAPHY Topic : Pollution


Introduction: Definition of Pollution and Pollutants, Types of
Pollution.
Sources of Pollution.
Effects of Pollution.
Conclusion: Preventive Measures
# Paste relevant picture on the left side of the project and
label it.
# Margin/borders must be relevant to the topic and is
mandatory on all the pages.

purpose of the lesson, for which take the help of pictures.

2. India is called the country of festivals. Which is your
favorite festival? How is it celebrated? Write what is
done etc. with the help of pictures.

URDU I. Write a short composition in Urdu of approximately


250 words on the following topics:-
