General Descriptions:

Tasks/Roles

1. Collect payment for transportation and accommodations


from customers.
2. Plan, describe, arrange, and sell itinerary tour packages
and promotional travel incentives offered by various
travel carriers.
3. Converse with customers to determine destination, mode
of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations,
and accommodations required.
4. Compute the cost of travel and accommodations, using a
calculator, computer, carrier tariff books, and hotel rate
books, or quote package tour costs.
5. Record and maintain information on clients, vendors,
and travel packages.
6. Book transportation and hotel reservations, using a
computer or telephone.
7. Print or request transportation carrier tickets, using a
computer printer system or system link to the travel
carrier.
8. Provide customers with brochures and publications
containing travel information, such as local customs,
points of interest, or foreign country regulations.
9. Establish relationships with new customers
10. Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers
11. Strive to improve customer satisfaction through
excellent customer service
12. Identify and respond to client needs
13. Keep a high level of knowledge about existing products
and services, and learn about new products and services
as they come in
14. Follow up on customer orders as necessary
