cultures, corporate ethics and good governance, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG), artificial
intelligence and ethics
Unit II
Moral reasoning, decision making and its application : Kohlberg moral development model,
Piaget's model of cognitive development, decision making process, resolution of ethical dilemma
Unit III
Application of ethical standards to business management : ethical issues in human resource
management, whistle blowing, sexual harassment act, 2013, ethical issues in financial scams, ethical
issues in marketing management
Unit IV
Introduction to Indian ethos : defining Indian ethos and its significance in workplace, the historical
evolution of Indian civilization, overview of major philosophical and religious traditions in India, ethics
and religion
Unit V
Management lessons from scriptures : management lessons from Indian heritage scriptures (like
Vedas, Upanishads, Mahabharta, Ramayana etc.), management lessons from Bible, management
lessons from Quran, management lessons from Kautilya’s Arthashastra
Unit VI
Contemporary relevance of Indian ethos : application of Indian ethos in addressing global
challenges, globalization and its effects on traditional Indian values and practices, techniques for
improving inner capacity –meditation, yoga, etc, theories based on Indian ethos- Indian guna theory,
OSHA model
