Position Overview
ESP is currently undergoing a period of organizational growth, with new complex programs being added to our
portfolio on a regular basis and implemented in several countries. As a key member of the Value Creation team, you
will support the design and implementation of SME and entrepreneurship development strategies and interventions
for our projects and clients.
We are looking for a young and self-driven professional with a passion for entrepreneurship development and
experience in operations, sales development, finance or strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities
We are looking for ambitious and motivated professionals to play a key role in leading the development of a
portfolio of high-potential companies across Africa. Specifically, you will
- Participate in the selection of companies supported
- Contribute to the diagnosis and the development of a tailored action plan and curriculum for companies
supported
- Conduct the development of an effective strategy to support the growth of the companies in collaboration with
the VC team
- Conduct the implementation of the plan for a portfolio of companies, in collaboration with the VC team
- Identify and develop, trainings, tools and methodologies to accelerate companies supported
- review and identify areas for improvement to maximize the value for our entrepreneurs

Required Qualifications
✓ Master’s degree or equivalent in the fields of Economics, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, or
others related field;
✓ Minimum of Eight years’ experience in the field of private sector and SME development, enabling
environment, and entrepreneurship development;
✓ Experience in a strategy role for companies, preferably SMEs, or in a management role for a business unit
or a fast-growing SME or start-up;
✓ Proven working experience with programs promoting entrepreneurship and SME development, and
private sector development projects;
✓ Good understanding of entrepreneurship and private sector development context and strategic framework;
✓ Professional or extra-professional experience on the African continent/knowledge of the realities of the
continent;
✓ Versatility and strong analytical skills;
✓ Fluent in English and French;
