Pre-requisites
The pre-requisites/ system requirements for the TM application are as follows:

Deploy-Application.exe
Deploy-Application.exe.config

This version of Argonaut will be the last to use SQL Express 2008. A new version will be released shortly.
Download the Argonaut software from www.lr.org/tm where you will see the screen below.
Click on the
Depending upon your browser, the download will progress and then complete as shown below.
When complete, click ‘Open’ or unzip the downloaded file into a folder.
Note: If you are using a version of Windows without Zip software to unzip the file, you may need to
download a free trial Winzip software that can be downloaded from www.winzip.com . Unzip the
folder and save to local drive.
After downloading the software and unzipping it, you should have a folder that looks like this.
Double click on “Deploy-Application .exe” to start the installation process. Please note that it will
show as below without the file extension.
Then search for Argonaut on the windows search bar and run the application.
The software upgrade will automatically update your previous version of Argonaut. The process will
run in a similar way to your first-time installation. All you need to do is run “Deploy-application .exe”
as above.
A backup of the existing TM jobs is recommended before upgrading to the new version.
The installation process will automatically backup your existing TM jobs. These TM jobs will be
visible upon opening Argonaut 3.2
Next you will see the “Select Argonaut Mode” screen. Select “Class Mode”, “CAP Mode” or “NAVAL
Mode”
If while you are installing the TM application and the following error message occurs:
“Your regional settings are not correct for Argonaut. Please refer to your installation guide to update
your Windows settings and restart your installation”
There has been problem with the regional settings on your machine. You will need to complete the
following steps:
On Windows 11 – Type region into the Search bar and select the “Region settings” program.
“The TM Jobs database may be corrupted or cannot be located. The application will now terminate.”
There has been a problem with the SQL components of the software during installation.
In this situation, please remove the SQL components from Programs Menu from Control Panel.
Click on ‘Start’ and then select ‘Control Panel’ as shown above. From the list provided click Program
menu and remove the SQL components (in the same order as shown below), then restart the
machine and perform the installation again.
Then manually delete the database folder using windows explorer. The files location is:
If the installation is not successful again, please contact your local office (or if you are an LR
Surveyor contact the LR IS Helpdesk) for further assistance.
If you receive this error it suggests you are running the setup.exe from the file folder and not the
Deploy-Application.exe. Manually uninstalling the old version of argonaut will result in the loss
of your previous TM jobs and is not recommended. To install the application please follow the
steps in section 4. This will backup your previous jobs, uninstall the old version and install the
new version
If you have issues installing the package provided, which can be caused by a variety of situations, you can try and
install the components separately & sequentially.
Locate the folder you created after the download process.
Files\Install_SQL
After a few mins installation of Microsoft SQL will start. No user input is required.
You will be able to tell SQL express is installed by go to services and looking for MSSQL$LRGMARINE
