➢ One time installation required after October 2023.
1 Software provided
➢ As a zip file.
1.1 Extract the zip file, using the password ’service’ (lower case, i.e., small letters). The file version
can be different. Below picture is an example for version “eGlobeG2-
AddDigiCert_Signed_V1.1_2033”.
1.2 Copy the file ‘eGlobeG2-AddDigiCert_Signed_V1.1_2033.exe’ to a blank USB medium. (No
subfolder should be used)
Note: If you have a Chartworld eChart Secure Gateway onboard, then it is required to have a FAT32 file
system on the USB medium.

2 ECDIS Stations
➢ Have both Master and Backup running.
2.1 Go to Master Station and exit the Navigation Mode (follow the pictures below).
2.2 Double Check (Navigation Mode Off)
➢ If the integrator shows information as below, then go to Step 2.3.
➢ If the button is still showing in blue (as below), then click on the button and repeat Step 2.1.

2.3 Insert your USB medium.
Options are:
➢ external USB socket (if no eChart Secure Gateway (orange box) is in use)
➢ direct to the panel pc (if no eChart Secure Gateway (orange box) is in use)
➢ eChart Secure Gateway (orange box)
➢ Example external USB socket at bridge console:
➢ Direct to the panel pc (please do not use the port labelled ‘1.1’), the picture is an example for
older Chartworld units.
➢ USB3.0 and USB2.0, the picture is an example for newer Chartworld units.

➢ USB stick into the eChart Secure Gateway (to one of the active USB slots at the left row).
➢ Wait 45 seconds.
2.4 Click on Update Software.
2.5 Select the file. (Below is an example picture)

2.6 Click on Install.
2.7 Click on Yes.
NOTE: If there are any problems during the next steps, please do the following:
➢ Take a picture of the screen and/or of the message shown.
➢ Click on System Shutdown.
➢ Please inform Chartworld about the problem.

2.8 When you see below information Click on OK.
NOTE: Leave the Master station running with Integrator window. Do not shut down the unit.
2.9 Go to Backup station and repeat Steps 2.1 to 2.8.
2.10 Shutdown Backup Station.
2.11 Shutdown Master Station.
2.12 Start Master Station and wait until Navigation mode is loaded and green info labels are
shown.
2.13 Start Backup Station and wait until Navigation mode is loaded and green info labels are
shown.
2.14 Check that Master and Backup labels are shown.
2.15 Acknowledge the network alert on both stations.
Note: the ECDIS-Stations are now prepared for use of other eGlobe G2 service setup tools.
