Project Steps:

1.Pick a Product or Service:

1.1Choose or invent a product/service that you want to promote (e.g., a new


snack, clothing item, or mobile app).

2.Identify the Target Market and Competition:

2.1 Who is the product for? (e.g., teenagers, families, etc.)


2.2 Who are the main competitors? (e.g., similar products already in the market)

3.Conduct Simple Market Research:


At least 5 samples
3.1 Primary Research: Create a short survey (5 questions) and ask a few classmates
or friends what they think of your product.
3.2 Secondary Research: Look up some basic facts about similar products and
trends in the industry (e.g., "What types of snacks are popular now?").

4. Apply the Marketing Mix (4Ps):

4.1 Product: Describe your product. What makes it special or


different from others?

4.2 Price: Choose a price for your product. Will it be expensive or


affordable? Why? incorporate in your market survey
pricing strategy - price skimming.....
4.3 Place: Where will you sell your product? (e.g., online, in stores, or
both) online + physical

4.4 Promotion: How will you advertise your product? Create one
simple promotional material, like a poster or a social media post.

5. Create a Simple Marketing Strategy:


5.1 Decide when and how to launch your product (e.g., start selling in
the next school holiday).

5.2 Set a goal for your product (e.g., "I want to sell 100 units in the
first month").
Deliverables: 2000 to 4000 words
1.A short report (5 -10 pages) that explains:
1. Your product idea
2. The results of your market research `
3. Your marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion)
4. Your marketing goal

2.A simple promotional material (e.g., a poster or social media ad).

Assessment Criteria:

•Creativity of product idea (25%)
