1. What is a Personal Customs Clearance Code(PCC)?
‣ It is an unique number for personal identification when customs clearance
is made. It can be used instead of resident registration number when
reporting personal items for importation to prevent leakage of personal
information. (P + 12digits)
2. Can foreigners apply for the Personal customs clearance code?
‣ In case of foreigners, they can report their imports using their passport
number or alien registration number, so they do not need to have a
personal customs clearance code, but if they want to receive a personal
customs clearance code to protect their personal information, they can
apply online or visit customs to apply.

※ Requirements
- Alien Registration Card or Certificate of Foreign Residence in Korea
- A mobile phone number or a Public Certification under your name
[Offline Issuance]
‣ Please visit the nearest customs office to apply for the PCC with your
Alien Registration Card or Certificate of Foreign Residence in Korea
※ Please check the Korea Customs Service web-site for customs
office’s locations.
‣ If visiting a customs office is not convenient for you, you can use
your alien registration number (if you have the Alien Registration
Card) or passport number

3. How can I get a Personal Customs Clearance Code issued on
my mobile phone?
‣ You can access the ‘Personal Customs Clearance Code issuance’ web
site (https://unipass.customs.go.kr/csp/persIndex.do) on your mobile phone
browser or After installing ‘모바일 관세청’ App, you can apply for your
Personal Customs Clearance Code without membership.
Using the Mobile App
STEP 1 ) Install ‘Mobile Customs Service(모바일 관세청)’ app in
「Play Store」 or 「App Store」 and click ‘개인통관고유부호’

STEP 2 ) Choose the Identity verification method(mobile phone or
public certificate authentication or simple certification).
And Enter your name and alien registration number.

① If you choose the Identity authentication method: mobile phone authentication
Enter your name, alien registration number, mobile phone number.
- Enter the back of the alien registration number with a virtual keypad

authentication(App).
- If you don't have a PASS authentication app, install it or proceed with
authentication by SMS(see next page).

- If you have a certificate stored on your Android mobile, you will skip the
procedure below.

① If you choose the Identity authentication method: simple certification
Enter your name, alien registration number, mobile phone number
‣ Once you have clicked [모두 동의하고 인증요청(All agree and request
authentication)] button it will direct you to a mobile phone PUSH service
for a separate application service to process your authentication securely

STEP 3 ) When you click [등록 (Registration)] after filling out the form,
issuance will be completed.

Using the Mobile Website
‣ If you do not have a mobile customs APP, you can apply for issuance
on website.
In the mobile website, '개인통관고유부호' is to referred and it progresses.
‣ Please refer to the same method you apply on PC on the next page.
But, public certificate authentication cannot be verified

4. How can I get my Personal Customs Clearance Code
issued on a PC?
STEP 1 ) Please access “https://unipass.customs.go.kr/csp/persIndex.do“
STEP 2 ) If you are a first-time user for issuance, select [신규발급 (New issuance)].
* If you are a previously issued user, select [조회 (inquiry)].
STEP 3 ) Select [휴대폰인증 (mobile phone authentication)] or [공동/금융인증서
인증 (public certificate authentication)] or [간편인증 (simple certification)].
And enter your 성명 (name on the Alien Registration Card), 주민등록번호
(alien registration number), 자동신고방지코드(Automatic report prevention
code) and select [실명인증 (real-name registration)].
※ If you fail real-name registration, refer to FAQ No.5(14page) for details.

STEP 4 ) Please follow the authentication method you chose
[Progressing mobile phone authentication]
① Select telecom company for your mobile phone
② Enter your personal information (Name, date of birth (8digits), Gender,
phone number) registered at the time of mobile phone subscription, e
nter the characters in captcha image, and click [확인 (confirm)].
※ If you fail identity verification, refer to FAQ No.6(15page) for details.

③ After comparing the personal information (Name, Date of birth
(8 digits), Gender, and phone number) registered at the time of mobile
phone subscription, with information entered in No. ②,
an authentication number will be sent to your mobile phone
④ After checking the authentication number sent to your mobile phone,
enter the authentication number in the input box, and select [확인
(confirm)] Button.
[Progressing public/financial certificate authentication]
‣ For the Public/Financial Certificate Authentication, select the certificate
you want to use in the Certificate Verification pop-up window and
enter the the certificate password → Click [확인 (confirm)] Button.

[Progressing simple certification]
① For the Simple Certification, select the Certificate you want to use in the
authentication pop-up window, enter your phone number, check the
service use agreement, and click the [인증요청(Certification Request)]
button
② Proceed in each Authentication Application.
- Depending on the Simple Certification method selected, push notificati
on to your mobile phone or SMS authentication request are made

STEP 5 ) Please enter basic information on the ‘application for Issuance’
screen → click [등록 (registration)]
- Please enter your address, phone number, email, mobile phone owner,
and mobile phone number and check your consent
STEP 6 ) When you click [등록 (Registration)], the Personal Customs
Clearance Code will be automatically issued.
※ P+12 digits , e.g.) P212345678912

5. The web page message “Real name authentication failed”
popped up
‣ Please enter the name as indicated on your Alien Registration Card or
Certificate of Foreign Residence in Korea (in capital letters).
‣ If you entered your name correctly but failed, please type your name
without any space. (e.g. COI ZHUNA → COIZHUNA)
※ If you typed name and alien registration number correctly but
repeatedly failed, please call the KCB customer center(☎ 02-708-1000),
and then press Number 4 > Number 3 > Number 0 when you connect
to the ARS to check whether you have joined a service to prevent
identity theft and whether your name is registered.

6. Identity verification with my mobile phone failed.
‣ At the time of first PCC issuance, identity verification on your mobile phone is
required. If you fail identity verification, please make sure the followings are
entered correctly.
*PASS App authentication: ① Telecom company, ② Name without spaces,
③ Mobile phone number without ‘-’
*PASS SMS authentication: ① Telecom company, ② Name without spaces,
③ Date of birth(8digits), Mobile phone number without ‘-’
※ Your name in your Alien Registration Card and your mobile phone
subscriber name must match for identity verification.
If the names are different, you must change your mobile phone
subscriber
name to be same as the name in your Alien Registration Card.
→ If you entered your name correctly but repeatedly failed, please cal
l the KMC customer center at 1644-1863 to ask about mobile
identity verification.
