Its better to be first than to be better

The leading brand in any category is always the first brand in the reader mind

All leaders are the first in their category

Being the first in your respective category this makes you the first one t to pop into the customer mind
making your brand name generic(wish is good) like coco cola

2if you can not be the first in a category, set up a new category that you are the first in

Law of the mind

Its better to be the first in the mind that the market

Marketing is not a battle of product it is a battle of perception

The most powerful concept in marketing is the owning a word in the prospects’s mind

Law of exclicivity

Two companies can not have the same word in the prospect mind

If that happens you need to cut it it from your marketing campaigns

In the long market every market becomes a two horse-race

If you are shooting on the second place your stratrgy is determined by the leader
The idea is not becoming better than the leader the key is to be different an alternative the best

Over the time every category is going to break up into 2 or more categories like pc and phones

Each segment f a category is a seperete and distinct entity

And thus each segment is an opurtunity to lead that segment
