Question 1

In your English class you have been talking about the enviroment.
Now, your English teacher has asked you to write an essay.
Write an essay using all the notes and give reasons for your point of
view.
Every country in the world has problems with pollution and damage to
the enviroment. Do you think these problems can be solved?

Nowadays, most countries around the world are worried about
the enviroment because it plays a significant role to support life on
earth. For this reason, environmentalists are working very hard to find
solutions to this serious problem.
To start with, one of the biggest problems that we have in every
counry is the transport because there are too many cars traveling on
streets, highways and freeways across the nations. Due to this
situation, there are great problems with the atmospere, the air is
really dirty and sometimes people can’t make a sigh because it smells
around them and of course around that cars on the road. Moreover,
we must recognize that one of the strongest pollutants that exists is
carbon dioxide expelled by cars and motorcycles circulating in the
cities. At this point I would like to note that one of the viable
solutions to end the environmental pollution caused by cars would be
to stop commuting to work or school by car, instead we could ride a
bike or walk.
Secondly, we should ask an important question: What about the
rivers and the seas? It is known that water is the most important
resource for survival on a planet and it is the essence of our life. In my
opinion, it is possible to find some really good and clean rivers and
seas where you can go, but there are not many of them. It is
important to remark that water pollution is any change, minor or
major in the physical, chemical or biological properties of water that
eventually leads to a detrimental consequence of any living organism.
As we are well aware, the water pollution is usually caused due to
human activities such as trhowing waste, chemical products, plastic,
petrol to the lakes and rivers. Furthermore, the governments should
take drastic measures to punish companies and factories that dump
polluting products into rivers and the sea.
Finally, it is worth mentioning another problem no less important
than those already discussed, which is deforestation and forest burning,
resulting in global warming and a change in the global climate.
Everyone knows that trees are the lungs of the planet. To solve this
problem, governments should conduct awareness campaigns to make
people, especially young people, aware of the importance of nature in
the proper functioning of the planet.
To sum up, this planet is our home so we should take care of it in order
to be able to prolong our life on it and live in better conditions than now.
