What you’ll do

Working for and with diverse teams who build and deliver our software, you’ll make
sure services are both robust and effective across test, development and production
environments.

Your job is to drive continuous improvement in the product suite, the delivery
process, the team and of course yourself. You’ll be empowered to dream the
improbable and improve software with creativity and a data-driven mindset, at the
same time embracing an agile methodology as opposed to operational and over
process.

You will:
- Engaging dev teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
- Server-side architecture
- Plan, deploy and manage well-functioning databases and applications
- Test environments to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
- Support software development departments in continuous integration and
continuous integration / continuous integration / deployment procedures.
- Create security and data protection settings
- Write and share technical documentation
- Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software
- Plan upgrades of large, complex systems across a variety of environments
- Manage technical releases including software deploys
- De-risk deploys and changes request reviews
- Investigate and diagnose problems, assign or carry out code and deploy fixes
- Make workflow more efficient and the system more performant and stable
- Build and verify new servers, including tracking network changes
- Build tools for automating, simplifying and de-risking processes

What you’ll bring

- 2 years minimum experience working with any virtualisation software


(VMware, Promox, etc.)
- At least 1 year of experience with any popular cloud environment, including cli
tools (AWS, Azure)
- Network configuration knowledge - Firewalls and routing
- GNU/Linux experience in everyday work: preferably working on a daily basis
with Debian or Ubuntu Linux
- Experience in maintenance of scalable web APIs, concepts required for
building such applications for web, mobile, and desktop software (strong
background in REST and JSON data exchange)
- Knowledge about using/maintaining persistent connections (including
WebSockets)
- SQL knowledge and usage skills, including maintenance and troubleshooting
of large scale databases with sharding and multiple master/slave instances
- Proven experience with Docker to build complex networks between containers
and custom images
- Maintenance and security issues tracking of applications deployed via Docker,
native PHP, Node and dotnet binaries
- Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably Github Actions
- Proven experience of messages’ queues and PubSub techniques:
RabbitMQ/Kafka/NATS
- Reverse-proxies handling
- Redis
- Usage of Git
- Loadbalancing concepts
- WebServers experience: nginx, apache

Nice if you have

- At least 2 years of experience with Symfony/PHP framework, experience with


version 4 or newer
- WebServers experience: Caddy, FrankenPHP
- SQL and ORM usage skills in a level that allows the building of both complex
and fast/simple queries (at least 4 years of proven experience with SQL,
preferably MySQL and/or MariaDB implementation)
- Experience in data integration: integration of external SOAP and/or REST
web services
- Strong focus on planning, understanding, deploying and preferably writing
unit and functional tests (Gherkin language [ie. Behat]) which match required
user stories (experience with TDD/BDD development)
- OpenAPI/Swagger knowledge in a level that allows to read and document API
endpoints
- Payment methods implementation concepts knowledge
- Understanding of NoSQL concepts and experience with MongoDB and/or
Redis
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Terraform
- At least a support-capable skills with React frontend framework
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Great attention to detail
- An analytical mind
- Degree in Computer Science or a set of proven courses in devops, system
maintenance, web application scaling, database normalisation, and statistics
- Any Gaming Platform experience is advantageous
- Flexible enough to meet tight deadlines and driven to deliver to strict SLAs
- Self-organisation which allows to work in a required for a particular task
autonomy
