A. TITLE: Midyear Performance Review and Evaluation and School-Based Midyear In Service
Training on Reading Interventions, Instructional Strategies and Preparation of Instructional
Materials For the Improvement of Everyday Teaching and Catch-up Friday Towards to the
Realization of MATATAG Agenda

B. Venue: OOGONG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

January 26, 29 and 30, 2024 ( School-Based Midyear INSET )

D. Rationale

As stated to the DepEd Order No.22, s.2023 the five-day mid-year break
based on the School Caleandar and Activities for the School Year 2-23-2024 will be
spent for the conduct of the Midyear Performance Review and Evaluation and the
School-Based INSET. It was further stated that the first two days shall be spent in
evaluating the school’s progress in the implementing the educational programs, p
projects and activities as well as in reviewing the performance of teachers and the
school staff to address concerns through cooperative effort. The last three days
shall be devoted to the conduct of the school-based INSET activities for the
teachers’ continued professional development and the preparation of their
Instructional materials.

Ragarding this matter, Oogong Elementary School will conduct Midyear


Performance Review and Evaluation on January 24 to 25 and will have an INSET
on January 26, 29 and 30, 2024. The INSET will focus on the reading
interventions , instructional strategies and preparation of instructional materials.

This midyear training can be a good help to the teaching personell so that
they can enhance their knowledge and be updated on the latest trends in education
especially the latest project of DepEd Catch-up Friday which started on January 12,
2024.

This can also be the best time to take the opportunity of enlightening the
teachers and non-teaching personnel on the different programs, project and
activities initiated by DepEd to realize the Basic Education Curriculum agenda of
"MATATAG" objectives.
The objectives of the proposed training are as follows:

 Track the progress of the school’s programs, projects and activities


particularly those related to continuous learning recovery.
 Present and analyze the 2024 Annual Implementation Plan , Annual
Procurement Plan and School OPCRF to know the current status and to
determine where the school is heading to through ways forward.
 Present the action plans of SY 2023 to 2024 and match it with the
accomplishment report of each area in order to see what else should still be
done.
 Review the performance of the teachers in the first 2 quarters in terms of the
learners’ academic achievement and with reference to their teaching.
 Provide teachers varied strategies in teaching to improve literacy and
numeracy of learners and reading interventions
 Showcase teachers’ creativity in preparing instructional materials needed in
improving literacy and numeracy.

Participants to this activity are Grade 1 to 6 and kindergarten teachers.
