Model-Based Testing For ERP

These slides address an integrated test management solution for business process models of ERP blueprints. Based upon existing process models test cases are automatically generated for the subsequent use in test tools or for manual testing. The BPM-X integration middleware is able to build a very flexible landscape for the interoperability of BPM/ BPA and test tools. Such operations cover the import of business process models of (employing methods like EPC, BPMN), the internal transformation into BPMN and the export into a specific test tool. The concept of business-focused testing ensures the completeness of the test case coverage and so improves the quality of ERP-supported business processes. With this approach isolated functional testing, incomplete coverage of the business logic, disregarded technical interfaces in the process flow and weakly tested end-to-end scenarios belong to the past. The most important benefits of integrated model-based testing are the automatic generation of test cases, a complete test coverage and in the end a better process quality.
