The place

Kano is the most crowdfunded


learning invention of all time. It was
developed with the help of hundreds
of young people, artists, engineers,
and teachers. It’s a computer anyone
can make.

Kano started their swarm into the


traditional academic curriculum in
2013 with a stinging new approach to
educating computing and as evidence
from the images their workspace is
full of energy. That energy pulses
through the entire building from the
connecting café hub to the moment
you open Kano’s doors. With bursting
colour and a demo table placed at
the core, you feel like you’ve entered
a hive teeming with enthusiasm for
coding and education.
Kano needed designs that casted
a spotlight on all the parts that
make the Kano computer amazing,
but kept simplicity in mind. The
collaborative outcome is the
new Interactive Wall Panel and
Component Display. Capturing
function as well as style they are
both a fitting example to matching
a sketch all the way through to
fabricated designs.

The project with Kano was insanely


fun and from the very beginning
we knew the result would be truly
special.
