TITLE IoT-Driven Nutrient, pH, Moisture Monitoring with Fertilizer Recommendation

System.

Why it's ● It helps to measure nutrients, pH, moisture, and temperature of a crop
important field, and based on this recommends fertilizer and its amount of use
which will be done by sms.
● Reduce the need for any complex and time-consuming lab test.
● Reduce the imbalance in the use of fertilizers.
● Maintain the proper growth of the plants.
● Increase the yield of crops.
● Helps maintain the soil's nutrient level
● Based on nutrient levels will tell potential dangers the crops will face

What to look ● Select a specific cropland

for: ● Measure nutrient, pH, Moisture, and temperature using [ NPK sensor,
Soil Moisture Hygrometer Detection Humidity Sensor Module Corrosion
Resistance Probe, pH Sensor with Module (SEN-00239), DS18B20
Digital Temperature Sensor (SEN-00177) ]
● Analysis of the collected data with an existing dataset consists of proper
Nutrient, pH, moisture and temperature levels needed for a crop with
fertilizer recommendation based on nutrient, pH, moisture and
temperature level and fertilizer and its amount - using a machine
learning model.

Methodology:

sample size Three soil samples per nutrient (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium) and pH
level were tested, with 10 trials conducted for each soil sample, totalling 30
trials per nutrient or pH measurement.

experiments For the fertilizer dataset, nutrients (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium)
were originally measured in ppm (parts per million). They were converted
into Kg/HA (kilograms per hectare) using the formula: Nutrient
(kg/HA)=2.5×λ\text{Nutrient (kg/HA)} = 2.5 \times \lambdaNutrient
(kg/HA)=2.5×λ

and Naive Bayes classifiers for fertilizer recommendation.
Processing Random Forest (RF) with Grid SearchCV: Applied to predict the most suitable
fertilizers. Grid SearchCV was used to fine-tune the hyperparameters,
improving the model’s performance.

Scalability

Result:

“IoT Driven Soil Nutrient, pH, Moisture Monitoring with Fertilizer Recommendation System.” -
will help
● Measure NPK, pH, moisture, organic matter and temperature of one specific or two or
three crops in real-time.
● Recommend fertilizer based on collected data using a machine learning model.
● Alerts directly to farmers via sms or mobile application.
● A proper report on soil health, and nutrient for fertilizer recommendations.
● Validation of the system's accuracy and effectiveness.
This project intended to build a conference paper focused on agriculture, IoT and sustainable
farming.

summay This data will be used in the Capstone project on “IoT Driven Soil Nutrient, pH,
Moisture Monitoring with Fertilizer Recommendation System.” The project's
main objective is to monitor soil nutrient levels, pH, organic matter and
moisture and recommend fertilizer, which will be sent directly to farmers via
sms or mobile application. This project aims to improve soil health, reduce the
need for any complex and time-consuming lab test and reduce imbalance use
of fertilizers. The project is conducted in collaboration with academic partners
and leverages IoT technology and machine learning techniques.

Question: What sensors we need..?

What machine learning models we need…?
Is there any kind solution that already exists(accuracy)..?
What will the data set consist of..?
