1. Introduction
1.1. Overview of the Web Application

This document is User Manual for web-based Software Application for

Distribution of “Feeder/Bay-wise Energy Monitoring System” for Uttar
Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL). This web-based software
application will be used for Online Monitoring of the Distributed Energy
Consumption. This web-based software application will be used to make it
effective and to increase the area of monitoring for Distribution.

A Web Based Software Application is running successfully since last many

years, which enables Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited to monitor
the Feeder-wise Line Losses for different feeders in Distribution. Along with,
several reports are also generated by the system, which enables UPPCL in
monitoring process.

1.2. Scope of the User Manual

This user manual will provide step by step guidance on how the
Departmental Authorities will use the software application to process the
Monitoring of Feeder wise Distribution.

The Software Application also has interfaces for Adding different Masters like
zone, Circle, Division, District, Distribution Substation, Distribution
Transformer, Distribution Incoming Feeder, Distribution Outgoing feeder, and
independent feeder Master. The Feeders are of two categories – Incoming and
Outgoing. There are also independent feeders, which provide power to
independent units like factories. Now as per the requirement in the above module
for making it more effective and to increase the area of monitoring for
Distribution.

1.3. Intended Audience of the Application

All Concerned Authorities, Admins, Division, Sub-divisions, Zone, Circle,

substation Junior Engineers of UPPCL will be the intended audience of this web-
based software application.

1.4. Application Convention

The application has the following conventions:

a. Fields which have * sign indicate mandatory fields.

b. Error messages will be displayed in the pop-up box.
c. Success messages will be displayed in the pop-up box.
d. All the menu links will be displayed in the side menu.

2. Administrator Login
2.1. Login Page

The Admin will login using their login credentials provided by company. It is
suggested to change the password as per your convenience. The login screen will
appear as shown below:

 Select the organization as Distribution and fill the user ID and password.

 Then fill the Captcha and Click on Login button.

 After successful login, the user will be redirected to the Dashboard.

2.2. Dashboard

After successful login, you will be directed to the dashboard page. There are
various options available in the dashboard as shown in the below image. The
dashboard page will appear as shown below:

 Dashboard has a Menu bar of different options like Masters, Transactions, and
report.
 All Options are available at the top of the screen in the Black division as shown
in the above image.
 Click on the particular option from menu to perform respective task.
 Each options have different sections to be filled by admin.

2.3. Master

When you move the pointer on the Master dropdown option, it will show below
mentioned image. Click on each option to add respective field.

 Master Dropdown has nine different sections that will be added/updated by

Admin.

 Admin have the authority of addition and maintenance of adding different users.

2.3.1. Add Zone Master

Admin will add Zone Master for the Distribution by clicking on the Add zone
Master. Zone related details will be seen on this page as shown in below image.

 Add Zone: When you will click on the Add Zone Master new popup page will be
open as shown below. Here You have to add Zone, and Zone code is optional.

2.3.2. Add Circle Master

Admin will add Circle Master for the Distribution by clicking on the Add Circle
Option. Circle related details will be seen on this page as shown in below image.

Add Circle: When you will click on the Add Circle option, new popup page will be open
as shown below. Here You have to add Zone Name, Circle Name and Circle code is
optional.

2.3.3. Add Division Master

Admin will add Division for the Distribution by clicking on the Add Division
Option. Division related details will be seen on this page as shown in below
image.

Add Division: When you will click on the Add Division option, new popup page will be
open as shown below. Here You have to add Zone Name, Division Name, Circle Name,
and adding Division code is optional.

2.3.4. Add District Master

Admin will add District for the Distribution by clicking on the Add District
Option. District related details will be seen on this page as shown in below image.

2.3.5. Distribution Substation Master

Admin will add Substation for the Distribution by clicking on the Add Substation
Option. Substation related details can be seen on this page as shown in below
image.

Add Distribution Substation: Admin will add Substation Details for the
Distribution by clicking on the Add Substation Option. Sub-station related
various details will filled by admin on the page as shown in below image.

2.3.6. Distribution Transformer Master

Admin will add Transformer Master for the Distribution by clicking on the Add
Transformer details Option. Transformer Master related details can be seen on
this page as shown in below image.

Add Distribution Transformer Details: Admin will add Transformer Details for the
Distribution by clicking on the Add Distribution Transformer Details Option. Fill the
details like Substation details as shown in below image.

2.3.7. Distribution Incoming Feeder Master

Admin will add Incoming Feeder Master for the Distribution by clicking on the
Add Incoming Feeder Option. Distribution Incoming Feeder Master related
details can be seen on this page as shown in below image.

Add Incoming Feeder Details: Admin will add Incoming Feeder Details for the
Distribution by clicking on the Add Incoming Feeder Details Option. Fill the details like
Distribution Substation Name, Feeder Village as shown in below image.

2.3.8. Distribution Outgoing Feeder Master

Admin will add Outgoing Feeder Master for the Distribution by clicking on the
Add Outgoing Feeder Option. Distribution Outgoing Feeder Master related
details can be seen on this page as shown in below image.

Add Outgoing Feeder Details: Admin will add Outgoing Feeder Details for the
Distribution by clicking on the Add Outgoing Feeder Details Option. Fill the details like
Distribution Substation Name as shown in below image.

2.3.9. Independent Feeder Master

Admin will add Independent Feeder for the Distribution by clicking on the Add
Independent Feeder Option. Independent Feeder related details will be seen on
this page as shown in below image.

Add Independent Feeder Details: Admin will add Independent Feeder for the
Distribution by clicking on the Add Independent Feeder Option. To add Independent
Feeder, fill the required details as shown in below image.

2.4. Transactions

To view various distribution related transactions, click on Transactions menu/tab.

It have four different options related to transaction when click on respective Field it
will redirect you to the page as shown below.

2.4.1. Monthly Line losses (Feeder wise)

When you click on the Monthly Line Losses Option, it will open a new form for
the entry of Feeder wise Line Losses as shown in the below image.

2.4.2. Monthly Line losses (Independent Feeders)

When you click on the Monthly Line Losses Option for Independent Feeders, it
will open a new form for the entry of Feeder wise Monthly Line Losses as shown
in the below image.

2.4.3. Substation Metering Status

When you click on the Substation Metering Status Option, it will open a new form
for the entry of Feeder wise Energy Account of Substation as shown in the below
image.

2.4.4. Substation Metering Status (Independent Feeder)

When you click on the Substation Metering Status(Independent Feeder) Option,
it will open a new form for the entry of Feeder wise Metering Status of
Independent Feeder as shown in the below image.
