Cover Page

• Title of the thesis (centered, in bold, usually uppercase)


• Author's name
• Degree name and program (e.g.,Department of Computer Engineering)
• University name and department
• Submission date
• Advisor/Supervisor name (optional)
• Institution logo (optional)

2. Title Page (Inner Title Page)

• Similar to the cover page, but often without the logo. This is the first page inside the
document.

3. Declaration and Certificate Pages

• Declaration by the candidate stating that the work is original.


• Certificate by the supervisor confirming the submission and authenticity of the
work.

4. Acknowledgments

• Optional but often included, thanking people who contributed to the research.

5. Abstract

• A concise summary of the research.


• Should not exceed one page (250–300 words).
• Briefly state the problem, objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusions.

6. Table of Contents

• List all sections and sub-sections with page numbers.


• Use hierarchical numbering for sections (e.g., 1, 1.1, 1.2, 2, etc.).

7. List of Figures and Tables

• Include a separate list for figures and tables with their titles and page numbers.

8. Formatting Guidelines for Text

• Font: Times New Roman (or as per your institution), size 12.
• Line spacing: 1.5 or double spacing.
• Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
• Alignment: Left-aligned text, with chapter titles and section headers centered.
• Paragraph indentation: 0.5 inch indentation at the beginning of each paragraph.

9. Chapter Format
• Chapter Title: Bold, uppercase, centered.
• Section Titles: Bold, left-aligned. Number sections using Arabic numerals (e.g., 2.1,
2.2.1).
• Subsections: Further subheadings are numbered as per hierarchy and left-aligned.
• Main heading font size 16.

10. Body of the Thesis

• Introduction: Outline the research question, background, and scope.


• Literature Review: Summary of previous work in the area.
• Methodology: Explain your research methods, data collection, and analysis approach.
• Results: Present findings in an organized manner.
• Discussion: Interpretation of the results.
• Conclusion: Summary of findings, limitations, and future work.
• References: Follow a consistent citation style (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.).
• Appendices: Include any supplementary material, like questionnaires, code, or
detailed calculations.

11. Figures and Tables

• Number all figures and tables sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 2.1).
• Provide clear captions below figures and above tables.
• Ensure that all figures and tables are referenced in the text.

12. Citations and References

• Follow a specific citation style (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.).


• Ensure proper in-text citations for all sources used.
• Create a reference list with all cited materials at the end of the document.

13. Page Numbering

• Preliminary pages (from the title page to the abstract) are numbered with Roman
numerals (i, ii, iii, etc.).
• Main text: Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.) starting from the first chapter.

Note : Other that Your project title name with blue colour and your name and
others name with bold .
