Mamongbonglon Waterfalls is one of the many picturesque falls of the
Municipality of Lacub and is also the most accessible one. It is located at
Dugay, Poblacion, Lacub, Abra. It is just a few minutes ride from the town
proper and 10 minutes of thrilling walk down the long concrete stairs from
the main road to where the falls is located. The name Mamongbonglon
was derived from the Binongan word bonglon which means rainbow. It
was given this name because of the formation of rainbows above the falls
when the rays of the sun hit the drizzles from the falling water off the
falls. This creates a fairy-tale-like scene that adds up to the uniqueness of
the place. Unlike other falls in the province, you can visit it any time of the
year because the water never run dry. It is a perfect place for adventure,
relaxation and connecting with nature.
