Online Tuition Management System

Introduction

In some parts of the world, students have a hard time finding teachers who can help
them succeed academically. Especially in more remote areas. Online systems in the
modern day allow for the remote and efficient completion of numerous tasks. An online
tutoring system that facilitates two-way communication between students and teachers
would be very helpful for them. It can benefit both students and teachers by making it
easier for them to find and hire tutoring sessions at convenient times. It has the potential
to help the educational system improve (TUIO , 2022).
I decided to create an online tuition management system using HTML, CSS, JavaScript,
PHP, and the Laravel Framework, which is a powerful set of technologies. People will
be able to reach the system from anywhere in the world through the Internet.
Students will need to create an account first and then search for teachers who are
available to provide tuition. There will also be a payment system for students where they
will need to pay for their tuition. students can then communicate with the teachers. The
students can also buy education learning materials from the “Purchase Material "
section of the web page through the online payment system. students can check their
invoices from their user dashboard.
Teachers, on the other hand, can register for the specific subjects in which they wish to
teach. However, they require admin verification. When teachers register and provide all
required information, admin can authenticate and approve their accounts.
On the admin dashboard, administrator can manually approve teacher registration,
manage student accounts, and view the number of registered students and how many
instructors are now active in particular subjects. By clicking a button, an admin can
generate a statistical report that can be downloaded as a PDF file.
Aims and Objectives

Aims
The development of a web-based system will provide students with the ability to receive
guidance and instruction from a teacher in a timelier and more convenient manner. It will
require students to create an account to receive tuition. It is easy for students to get
their tuition from teachers, and it is easy for teachers to be paid through an online
system (SOLENT , 2021).
Objectives
1. Conduct a search and analysis of this established system using sources from
outside.
2. Analyze the proposed system to perform more research on it.
3. The user interface should be organized and responsive in order to attract users.
4. The development of an online tutor hiring system.
5. Tests and evaluations need to be done on the system that was developed.

Research Approach

In order to accomplish the objective of creating an internet-based system for managing


tuition, I intend to implement the following methods:
1. Firstly, I will conduct a thorough analysis of existing systems that are relevant to
online tuition services and evaluate them.
2. Next, I will investigate and assess the essential components of an online tuition
management system.
3. After that, I will utilize the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology
to design a user-friendly and responsive user interface.
4. Following that, I will initiate the system development process using the SDLC
methodology.
5. Lastly, I will evaluate the system's functionality using both black-box and white-
box testing methods.

Legal and Ethical Issues

The project will contain a payment option, and students will be required to register with
the system when they pay for their tuition. To ensure that personal and transaction data
are handled in a safe and secure manner, it is important to ensure that any breach of
the data or the sale of the data to other parties is avoided (Andrew-Charlesworth, 2009)
