Script:

Narrator: (Standing center stage) Welcome to the underwater world of "Finding Nemo!" This is
the story of a clownfish named Marlin and his adventurous son, Nemo.

(Scene 1: Marlin’s Home in the Reef)

Marlin: (Worriedly) Nemo! Don’t swim too far from me! You know the ocean can be
dangerous!

Nemo: (Excitedly) But, Dad! I want to explore! I’m not a baby anymore!

(Nemo swims closer to the edge of the reef.)

Marlin: (Nervously) Just promise me you’ll stay close!

(Suddenly, a Fish Catcher appears and captures Nemo in a net.)

Nemo: (Shouting) Dad! Help!

(The Fish Catcher pulls Nemo away and exits. Marlin looks distraught.)

Marlin: (Desperate) No! Nemo!

(Scene 2: Marlin Meets Dory)

Narrator: Marlin sets off to find Nemo and meets a friendly fish named Dory.

(Dory swims in, looking cheerful.)

Dory: Hi there! I’m Dory! What’s your name?


Marlin: (Frustrated) I’m Marlin. My son has been captured!

Dory: (Excitedly) Oh no! I can help! I have a great memory… sort of!

Marlin: (Sighing) Okay, let’s find Nemo together!

(They swim off stage together.)

(Scene 3: Dory’s Forgetfulness)

Narrator: As they journey, Dory forgets where they’re going.

Dory: (Swimming in circles) Wait! Where are we going again?

Marlin: (Annoyed) To find Nemo, Dory! Just keep swimming straight!

Dory: (Smiling) Right! Straight! Got it!

(They swim a little further, and Dory suddenly stops.)

Dory: (Confused) So… what are we looking for again?

Marlin: (Exasperated) Nemo, Dory! My son!

Dory: (Giggling) Oh, right! Nemo! Let’s go!

(They continue swimming.)

(Scene 4: Encounter with Bruce)

Narrator: Marlin and Dory meet Bruce the shark, who invites them to a fish-friendly party.

(Bruce enters with a big smile.)

Bruce: (Cheerfully) Welcome! I’m Bruce! We’re all friends here!

Marlin: (Cautiously) Um… are you sure?

Dory: (Giggling) Don’t worry, Marlin! He seems nice!

Bruce: (Suddenly serious) Just remember, I don’t eat fish! (Pause) Well, not today!

(Bruce starts to chase them playfully.)

Marlin: (Panicking) Let’s go, Dory!


(They swim off stage quickly.)

(Scene 5: Fish Catchers Again)

Narrator: Meanwhile, Nemo is in the dentist’s office, making new friends.

(Nemo and other fish in the tank.)

Nemo: (Determined) I’m going to escape from here!

Other Fish: (Cheering) You can do it, Nemo!

(As they plan, the Fish Catcher enters to clean the tank.)

Fish Catcher: (Singing) Time to clean up! You fish are going nowhere!

(Nemo and the other fish look worried.)

Nemo: (Whispering) We need to hurry!

(They all huddle together to come up with a plan.)

(Scene 6: Finding Nemo)

(Marlin and Dory finally reach the dentist’s office.)

Narrator: Marlin and Dory arrive just in time!

Marlin: (Frantically) Nemo! Where are you?

Nemo: (From inside the tank) Dad! I’m here!

Dory: (Pointing) There he is!

(Marlin swims to the tank.)

Marlin: (Relieved) Nemo! I thought I lost you!

Nemo: (Smiling) I’m okay, Dad! I made some friends!

Dory: (Cheerfully) Let’s get you out of there!

(They all work together to help Nemo escape.)

(Scene 7: The Ocean Again)


Narrator: Together, they escape just as the Fish Catcher realizes what’s happening.

Fish Catcher: (Panicking) Hey! Come back!

(Marlin, Dory, Nemo, and the other fish swim away.)

Marlin: (Hugging Nemo) I’m so proud of you, Nemo!

Nemo: (Happily) And I’m glad you learned to trust me!

Dory: (Cheerfully) Let’s go on more adventures together!

Narrator: (Smiling) And so, Marlin and Nemo learned the true meaning of family and
friendship.

All Characters: (Gathering together) The end!
