Unit test 4
Audio script
Last week was a very emotional week. It all
started on Monday when I had butterflies in my
stomach about my maths exam. I was so
nervous. Surprisingly, it was much easier than
expected. On Tuesday evening, I was doing
homework when my mum called me downstairs.
When I went back to my desk to finish my
homework the lights suddenly went out and
someone grabbed my shoulders. I nearly jumped
out of my skin but it was just my brother playing
silly games! On Wednesday, I was told I’d be
playing in a rugby match against the scariest
team of the biggest, strongest boys. I needed
nerves of steel to go out and play the game but I
did and it was okay. Then on Thursday I had to wait so
long for the bus that I was tearing my hair out by the
time it came! The driver didn't even say sorry.
On Friday, someone ran into me while I was
skateboarding and I fell and hurt my ankle. I was so
angry that I saw red. The person just ran away and left
me. On Saturday, I was feeling sad about my hurt ankle
when my mum brought me a present. It was the latest
computer game I’ve wanted since Christmas! I would
have jumped with joy but my ankle was too sore! On
Sunday, my brother and I watched a film which was
surprisingly scary. By the end of the film my hair was
standing on end. So the week was full of surprises and
that made it an emotional week.
