RF-AB303

RF-AB303 is a monophonic synth ideal for creating acid basslines similar


to the Roland TB-303.
TOP BAR

PRESETS BROWSER: Change the preset.


PRESETS MENU: Load/Save presets and banks.
MAIN: Shows the main panel.
EFFECTS: Shows the effects panel.

OSCILLATOR

WAVEFORM: Toggles between Saw (Sawtooth) and Pulse (Square) oscillator shapes.
PULSE WIDTH: Changes the Pulse waveform width.

MAIN PANEL

FILTER

VEL TO ACCENT: Sets the amount of filter accent according to the keypress velocity.
FILTER TYPE: Selects between: Moog Low Pass, State Variable Low Pass, Band Pass and High Pass.
DECAY CURVE: Changes the filter decay curve (0%=Exponential, 100%=Linear)
CUTOFF: Adjusts the Filter cutoff frequency.
RESONACE: Adjusts the Filter resonance.
ENV MOD: Adjusts the Filter Envelope amount.
DECAY: Adjusts the Filter Envelope Decay time.

MASTER

MONO LEGATO: Plays notes in legato (mono retrigger off)


VEL TO AMP: Sets the level of amplitude (volume) according to the keypress velocity.
PHASE: Changes the start phase of the waveform in -180/+180 degrees.
PANNING: Adjust the main panning.
TUNING: Adjust the pitch of the output in -12 to +12 semitones.
GATE: Sets the length of a note. This results in shorter (staccato) or legato notes.
SLIDE: Adjusts the portamento speed. The time it takes to slide from one note to the next.
VOLUME: Adjusts the main volume.

EFFECTS PANEL

PARAMETRIC EQ

LEVEL (BASS, MID & HIGH): Controls the volume of each band (-18/+18 dB)
FREQ: Selects the frequency of each band.
BW (BAND WIDTH): Controls the width of each band (0 to 100%)

DISTORTION

HARDCLIP: Sets the amount of Hard Clip Distortion.


SATURATION: Sets the amount of Saturation.
BITCRUSH: Sets the amount of Bit Crushing.

COMPRESSION

THRESHOLD: Determines at what dB level the compressor will begin working.


RATIO: Selects the output: input ratio level (max. 30:1)
GAIN: Sets the compressed signal amplification in dB.

DELAY

TIME: Sets the Delay time in musical notes values.


PING-PONG: Selects Ping-Pong mode (stereo bounce)
DAMP: Sets the Low Pass damping amount.
LEVEL: Sets the amount of Delay.

REVERB

DAMP: Adds ‘dampness’ (expansion) to the reverb.


DECAY: Time of the Reverb (max. 12 seconds)
LEVEL: Sets the amount of Reverb.

Hint 1: Double click on a Knob to reset the value.


Hint 2: Press the Ctrl key while moving a Knob to fine adjust the value.

INSTALLATION

VST2 Version:
Install with setup. This will create a “Ronan Fed\RF-AB303” folder in your 64-bit plugins folder.
By default: C:\Program Files\Vstplugins\Ronan Fed\RF-AB303
Open your DAW and search for new installed plugins.

VST3 Version:
Install with setup. This will create a “Ronan Fed\ RF-AB303” folder in your VST3 system folder.
By default: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Ronan Fed\RF-AB303
Open your DAW and search for new installed plugins.

PRESETS

VST2 plugin Factory Presets location (Inside the same folder as the plugin):

By default: C:\Program Files\VSTplugins\Ronan Fed\RF-AB303\vst2FactoryPresets

VST3 plugin Factory Presets location (Inside the VST3 system folder):

The setup additionally will create a “VST3 Presets\Ronan Fed\RF-AB303” folder in your system
“Documents” folder.

By default: C:\Users\[yourusername]\Documents\VST3 Presets\Ronan Fed\RF-AB303

Note: If you remove the folder from this default location, the VST3 presets will not be found
by the plugin.
